Best winery I have been to. Eric was very genuine and funny! He provides good knowledge of wine during the tour and makes sure you leave the property as a wine oficianado ;-) My group left with 7 bottles of delicious wine and we will be going back again if we are in the San Diego area. Thanks Eric!

This place is a gem. I can highly recommend touring here. Eric Brooking owns and runs this winery. He grows his own grapes, and uses the best practices to make very high quality wines, without taking shortcuts used by most of the other wineries in SoCal. They specialize in dry reds (which even my sweet-loving spouse enjoyed) and some very fine aged "Angelica" (called Port when manufactured in sanctioned locations in Europe).

Eric is amazing, funny and charming he really made this experience amazing and he’s so knowledgeable and teaches you things you would’ve never know about wine. 100% highly recommend going to see him. Eric is literally a master winemaker.. best wine I’ve ever had in my life!!!! He was super fun and we laughed a lot! You may need some spanx to fit in the wine warehouse part of the tour!

If I could give 10 stars I would. Eric was THE BOMB DOT COM. He was so patient to educate us on his process while also being funny, kind, and passionate. We are vegan, and had no idea not all wines are even vegetarian! We deeply appreciate him taking the time to educate us all while tasting his amazing wine. My boyfriend isn’t a wine drinker and even he LOVED it. Thanks again Eric. You truly are awesome! We will be back. Cheers!

Eric was definitely the highlight of our wine tasting experience. He had us chuckling and horrified during our tour. We have had many wine tastings and bought what we thought were good bottles of wine. This was the first time we truly experienced the wonderful wines we purchased. A visit to Eric's winery is a must.
The owner is also the tour guide, he stool crafted care in explaining the wine industry and what goes into making quality wine. He also allows you to sample the different wines that he makes. His style and ways make you feel as if you are family.I would suggest you NOT to miss this gem of a time. I WILL be back with guests!!

the best stop on our VW bus wine tour - Eric is extremely knowledgeable, I felt enlightened about commercial vineyards operations after the tour. he only sells perfect wines and repurposes the rest. had to buy a few bottles. not enough though! I would definitely go back if we make it to SD again

My 9 year old son was educated in the process, to the point of correcting other wine makers in the area. He learned so much at Brookings about the process of wine making..... Thank you very much Eric! You made a huge impact on our son God bless you! I highly recommend this to all who visit the area, start at Brookings and learn the industry first! Then you will notice everything at other winery's...you will see, smell and taste what they're doing right and what they are doing wrong. (Like I said my 9 year old did!)
