California's Mexican Restaurant

A buddy of mine took me to this small joint Mexican restaurant in Vista. We both order Cani Asada burrito ?. The cashier lady is super friendly. The burrito is tasty and made just the way it should be. Meat, Fresca salsa, quacamole.! No BS rice and bean. Another bonus is chips and salsa included with your order.
Being away from San Diego for so long and unable to find a decent Mexican restaurant with authentic foods. This place hit all the spots.
Wish the meat a little bit rare, but I am satisfied with the meal. I definitely will stop by again when I am in the area. ??

Breakfast burrito

I first went here in 2017 when I was on the food circuit. I actually recently went here earlier this year.

It is one of the odd restaurants that are on the outskirts of Vista close to the border with the County of San Diego. It is tied up with Ruiz Liquor, and there used to be the old Shell station across this location.

Spot is pretty small on the inside, but there is also outdoor patio seating which has a great view of Camp Pendleton.

The menu is fairly stereotypical of your basic Mexican spot so do not be surprised what you see on there. It has a fairly extensive menu.

Food is great, tasty and is freshly made, and the kitchen is attached to the front, so you can see it being made.

I would recommend checking this out if you are a Vista native, a local or in the area.

Vegetarian options: Small selection of vegetarian options which is great if you get breakfast.

So far, everything I have tried here has been very good. The service is great. My favorite order so far has been the Machaca burrito.

Thank you very much I love your food! I got carne asada chips, carne asada quesadilla and a side of beans and cheese. So good! They even put pico inside my quesadilla that was a big help to me thank you! Mucho gusto! In Tagalog salamat!

Truly stupendous! The 2 breakfast burritos were made on the grill right before my eyes. Fresh eggs, tender potatoes, hearty meats. Worth it in every way.
