My all-time favorite pan dulce is an empanada de Calabasa which for some reason aren't made at all panaderias. THANKFULLY this spot has them along with all the other delicious Mexican sweet bread and some out of this world breakfast sandwiches. I made sure to stock up for the weekend and am currently doing my yum yum happy dance as I enjoy one with my coffee.

I just came for a Rosca de Reyes today, January 6, and here's my honest opinion: it does not taste like a real Rosca. Doesn't have that orangy taste. The toppings were all misplaced, like they were in a hurry and put them there quickly without worrying about the presentation. HOWEVER, the bread has a good flavor, moisture, and is not too sweet. I'm glad I bought a small one because it was not what I was expecting (for this specific desert).

This place makes great bread the only thing that was not good was the champurrado it was nasty! ?I got sick after taking a few sips of that drink?.Some people sell things they don’t normally make or know the recipe and it seems like this was the case with the champurrado.?♀️
