This is a gem of a spot in downtown Vista. Family run eatery. The food is authentic and delicious. What you see in the images is the three enchilada plate with one cheese, one chicken and one beef enchilada with beans and rice. The other plate is two chicken tacos with beans and rice. Everything fresh and delicious. They will bring chips and homemade salsa to your table when you are seated. Several tables outside to chose from and some inside seating. Great place for lunch or dinner. Always consistently good!

Wanted to try something new… Ordered an albondigas soup, took it to-go to find the three meatballs (very small) were not cooked. I called right away to tell them and was told it has been cooking for three hours. I went back and the lady had my money ready, didn’t apologize or offer anything else. Do not recommend.

All of the food was just right - excellently prepared classics. Carnitas and Flautas were very good; guacamole was delicious. Will be coming back.

Ordered the shrimp cocktail it was refreshing contained cucumber, tomato, onion, cilantro, and lime juice. It was tasty but not spicy.

Very mediocre at best.. a two is generous. Everything was over priced and incredibly bland. Don’t order the nachos rancheros. Tasteless. There weren’t many people so we didn’t have to wait long so I guess that was a plus. Would not recommend and sad to say will not be back.

Listen, the food here is excellent! I got chips and salsa, Chile relleno, beans, and rice, and enjoyed them all. Very fresh and fast. There’s only one thing keeping this review from being 5 stars. There is a pick 2 of a list of items for lunch (and pick 3 for dinner), comes with beans and rice. I’ve been here twice; the first time was for lunch and the lady waiting on me (who I think was the owner) straight up told me I could not get 2 Chile rellenos listed, because they’re “expensive”. Understandable, but it says it’s an option on the menu, it doesn’t say “pick 2/pick 3 apart from Chile relleno”. I thought maybe that was a change they meant to make, but today I came for dinner and asked for the chile relleno again and she said I could only get 1 with the dinner combo? I acted all confused like, but it says this that on the menu. She straight up just said no. Honor what it says on the menu or get it off/specify.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in all of North County.

Very disappointing barbeque? Dry, tasteless. And really ad service. Order extra food and dessert. It never came.

Great little mom and pop sit down Mexican Restaurant. Nothing fancy or over priced here. Just what you would expect from a local, humble, yummy place.

I love this place. Enjoyed people watching on the patio during the Strawberry festival. Usually get the shrimp of seafood burrito. Mmmm

7/2 worst service ever, dirty establishment and the cashier that took my order was very rude and unprofessional - eating and working at the same time first and last time I go to this place.
