Had dinner here Friday night. My sister tells me we used to come here long ago but I don't recall. It's a small place, 10 tables or so. The chips and salsa were good. The margarita was sweet and mild. I had the carne asada plate, the meat was a bit dry but the beans, rice, guac, and salsa fresca were good, flour tortillas were hot and fresh. The chile relleno was probably my favorite bit.

This is a gem of a spot in downtown Vista. Family run eatery. The food is authentic and delicious. What you see in the images is the three enchilada plate with one cheese, one chicken and one beef enchilada with beans and rice. The other plate is two chicken tacos with beans and rice. Everything fresh and delicious. They will bring chips and homemade salsa to your table when you are seated. Several tables outside to chose from and some inside seating. Great place for lunch or dinner. Always consistently good!

Wanted to try something new… Ordered an albondigas soup, took it to-go to find the three meatballs (very small) were not cooked. I called right away to tell them and was told it has been cooking for three hours. I went back and the lady had my money ready, didn’t apologize or offer anything else. Do not recommend.

My bestie and I went here for lunch. The food is so amazingly good and the lady who I assume owns the place was the nicest woman you ever want to meet served us. Great service and good prices especially since the pandemic. I would totally recommend this restaurant.

All of the food was just right - excellently prepared classics. Carnitas and Flautas were very good; guacamole was delicious. Will be coming back.

Ordered the shrimp cocktail it was refreshing contained cucumber, tomato, onion, cilantro, and lime juice. It was tasty but not spicy.

Very mediocre at best.. a two is generous. Everything was over priced and incredibly bland. Don’t order the nachos rancheros. Tasteless. There weren’t many people so we didn’t have to wait long so I guess that was a plus. Would not recommend and sad to say will not be back.

Wife and I came to have dinner and I ordered the chile colorado with Nopales plate and my wife ordered a dinner plate chile rellenos and enchiladas. I have to say that my dinner plate was so delicious that it reminded me of my grandma's and mom chile colorado con nopales.

I have mixed emotions on this one. The food is good (yes it is pricey for some items) the service is just ok... We ordered: Taquitos appetizer -crispy taquitos with good flavor Soup- fresh ingredients flavorful Steak plate - It was good but overpriced.. Side of beans- very good The service was ok.. I know it's hard right now to hire so I understand.. We will give it another try when in the area.

Listen, the food here is excellent! I got chips and salsa, Chile relleno, beans, and rice, and enjoyed them all. Very fresh and fast. There’s only one thing keeping this review from being 5 stars. There is a pick 2 of a list of items for lunch (and pick 3 for dinner), comes with beans and rice. I’ve been here twice; the first time was for lunch and the lady waiting on me (who I think was the owner) straight up told me I could not get 2 Chile rellenos listed, because they’re “expensive”. Understandable, but it says it’s an option on the menu, it doesn’t say “pick 2/pick 3 apart from Chile relleno”. I thought maybe that was a change they meant to make, but today I came for dinner and asked for the chile relleno again and she said I could only get 1 with the dinner combo? I acted all confused like, but it says this that on the menu. She straight up just said no. Honor what it says on the menu or get it off/specify.
