Flavor Chef did an amazing job catering an event for our out-of-state company. We inquired on their website and heard back immediately from Crystal Ramirez. Crystal made the planning process very smooth, by answering all questions promptly, reviewing menus, and making suggestions. Our chefs Pedro and Clint prepared wonderful hors d’oeuvres served by Joey and Arianna and our signature cocktails were mixed by our Bartender Rene. The food and drinks were DELICIOUS, and we had plenty left to share. The whole crew was friendly and flexible, and the night was a huge success. We would highly recommend Flavor Chef and would use them again in the future!

Flavor chef was a home run for my wife's 45th birthday!The coordinator Madison was extremely helpful and easy to work with. Madison was always responsive to any questions I had while I was interviewing different caterers. Very thorough and always had all of the answers.The flavor chef menu is full of great options and has tons of delicious appetizers. Our guest enjoyed the poke chips, lamb lollipops and caprese salad on crostini as appetizers. Salmon, steak and chicken as entrees. The food was a total hit. 100% of our guests told me how much they enjoyed the food.The staff at our event included Derek as chef, Yannick as bartender and Joey and Ken as servers. All were excellent to work with!Plus they brought their mobile catering food truck so everything was fresh and there was no mess in my kitchen!I highly recommend flavor chef for any celebration you are planning!

Flavor Chef was the best vendor we hired for our wedding! We were so fortunate to work with Madison and Crystal for our 80-person wedding in Indio this spring. The Flavor Chef team was patient with our questions leading up to the event - walking us through the pros and cons of different serving styles, providing quotes and responses in a timely manner, being clear about what assets they provided vs. what we would need to order from our rental company, and being flexible on altering the menu to accommodate vegan guests. Madison and Crystal even drove up to visit the venue ahead of time with us to ensure that the kitchen space would be sufficient for their needs. And this is all before I mention the food, which was EXCELLENT! The appetizers were outstanding - highly recommend the lamb lollipops, chicken and waffle bites, and ahi poke nachos. For dinner we offered the chicken, salmon, and the vegan eggplant parmesan, and they were all very tasty! The servers and chefs were friendly and helpful, and the whole event ran smoothly without incident. I highly recommend Flavor Chef Catering!

Flavor Chef Catering is simply AMAZING!! Everything was so delicious, and most importantly served fresh and hot! For hours d'oeuvres we served bacon wrapped dates (My personal favorite,) avocado toast, and chicken kabobs (pictured below.) For dinner we did prime rib, mashed potatoes, roasted root vegetable melody, and a salad. The prime rib was amazing, it's not easy to prepare a well cooked meat for 50 guests and they executed everything perfectly! Our guests gave us so many compliments on the food, it was really a highlight of the wedding. They also have wonderful vegan and vegetarian options. They were so accommodating with everything, they helped with clean up, did water service, and set up the dessert table.

From initial contact through the end... super responsive and provided great input/ideas that ultimately culminated to our vision coming to life. She was quick and flexible with changes and provided updated quotes/proposal in a timely manner. THANK YOU DEARLY MADISON; you are by far the best contact person from any vendor I worked it. Hope Flavor Chef knows how valuable you are.We placed a deposit even before tasting and by tasting day we were glad we did! Prices are FAIR/comparable to other caterers (trust me, I checked) and the food quality is excellent. Multiple guests/family members approached me and commented on how much they loved the food. DELICIOUS and beautifully presented appetizers (avocado toast, sweet potato empanada, and shrimp lime ceviche), plated jicama salad, and buffet for entree (taco bar: carne asada and chipotle shrimp + grilled veggie medley + chipotle black beans + bonus rice), and dessert (FRESHLY fried churros).Why minus one star:The horchata drink was unfortunately perceived to be a dessert drink and only served during dessert time (churros and cake); horchata was actually meant to be the non alcoholic option for guests (besides water) for the entire reception.The primary reason though: we decided to take advantage of the "full-service catering company" and went with Flavor Chef for ALL of the rentals to combine two vendors and eliminate having to communicate with another person. This I somewhat regret. The rental company they work with never came out to the reception site for a site visit prior to the day of the wedding. This proved to be a huge issue for weekend-of set up since they assumed a tree from Google Earth Images was still there (it had been cut down) and were planning on hanging market lights with that as a center point... which wasn't even the center point I had requested to begin with. We were missing a stand/pole to hang lights from. The rental guy ended up making it work but I was missing 1 line of lights at the center over the reception area since he used a side tree as a place to grab onto to create a little line of lights on the outer perimeter. The rental company was also overall very slow to reply to our (Madison and I) inquiries throughout the entire process and did not deliver all of the items rented (we were missing dessert plates and two round tables). Thankfully, Flavor Chef staff picked up the missing items. But had I not checked on each item in advance we would have been out of luck since the company is about 1 hr away from the reception site. Besides that, the rentals (farm tables, chairs, etc) were as pictured with no issues.Overall, I am looking forward to working with Madison and Flavor Chef Catering again in the future... even for smaller gatherings like Holiday parties. Steven Thompson the Sales Consultant was awesome. I called with very specific "wants" to serve 40 - 45 guest. Steven worked with me to coordinate the best food ever!! The Mobile Unit came and set up outside the event hall. The smell was amazing!! I ordered heavy appetizers: Steak & Brie Crostini, Sweet Potato Empanada, Mini Crab Cakes, Bacon Wrapped Scallops, Stuffed Mushrooms & Oysters!!! And from the Flavor Mobile Menu, guest ordered their choice of: Cowboy Flavor Burger, The Flavor Burger, and the SoCal Flavor Burger. I wish I had taken pictures but the food went so fast!!Special shout out to our servers Yanik & Crystal. They were so awesome, very friendly & professional. And to the Chefs Dan & Arya, you rocked!!
