There’s a reason why everyone knows Hungry Bear as the best subs in San Diego County. Ive been here more times than I can count and the sandwiches are always fresh made on the spot, and the bread is fresh everyday. They make the sandwiches how you want them and they have just about every topping you could ask for. The people working here are great too, super friendly. Oh yeah, fast service too.
The chicken salad sandwich and the Rueben are two of my favorites. If they had a meatball sub I wouldn’t go anywhere else, but the Italian steak gets the job done. Want breakfast? Try the omelette sub. 5 out of 5 stars.

Amazing food!!! I have been to their Escondido place which is closer to us. I finally made it to their Vista location. It just brought back great memories. They don't skimp on flavors and the works hit the spot. Our favorites are the Italian subs, Ruben and Rachel. Anything you order wouldn't disappoint you and you would be back for more. Service is superb and very friendly. You would feel welcome. The best sandwiches you can have.

This place is known for their sandwiches, but dont sleep on the salads. Tatsey and filling. I go here at least once a week.
I was craving an Italian sub, and I can always depend end on Hungry Bear to deliver. Walking In I saw The Ultimate Italian Sub on the menue and then I saw the option to "Bear Size". Oh man, was it on! I grabbed some napkins and hiked up my elbows and dove in!. My recommendation is to share it with a friend because I killed it, and now I need a nap. The fresh bread was lined with delicious deli meats and cheese and topped with everything on it. I say share it, but I didn't, and I'll do it again!! Thank you, Hungry Bear!
