I should have left this review as soon as I finished my first sandwich here.
I can only describe what I ate through the feelings it gave me. I dropped by here, exhausted and half asleep after work. Three bites of the steak and cheese omelette sub was enough to wake me up. Finishing the sandwich made me feel like I can take on the world. The only thing I don't like about this place is not living anywhere close. I will make it a point to come back when I'm in the area.

Loved the food and experience. The Italian sandwich is soooo good. My husband and I tried it during the summer and we keep going back. Food is consistent and delicious. The crew there is also very nice!

This is a hidden jem. The menu has most any style sub on it. If they do not have it listed chances are they can make it. The owner was supa friendly and changed the tv for me to watch the baseball game. Fortunately there wasnt to many Dodgers fans in there. Food was made fresh to order and the portion size was killa for the money spent. No comparisons to the big chain brands. I hate to give good reviews because the spot will get blown up busy and ill have to wait.....but everything was so good I can only five the best review. Thanks hungry deli.....you made my night. So good I could not only have one I had to have a second. . Didn't bring home leftovers because there wasn't any.....to good to wait.

Hungry Bear is not what they use to be, they had to close locations, increased the prices and down sized their products. Sometimes you'll get bread with mold on it

Fast service, great food, excellent prices, clean restaurant, and unbelievably friendly staff. They're in the same shopping center as a Jersey Mike's, and we almost went there before seeing Hungry Bear. So glad we ended up coming here.
We ordered and had our food within maybe 5 minutes. The classic Philly cheese was everything you'd want in a cheese steak, and the deli sandwich was excellent as well. The next time we're driving through Carlsbad, we'll be back.
