I’ve always enjoyed the food here….
but after watching the recent video of the manager throwing the F bomb out at 2 female customers and telling them to shut up, I will not support this business anymore. Completely unacceptable and disrespectful.

Great family or date night and even a single ready to mingle.....atmosphere in the bar area! I just love the food and how friendly people are here!

This place has some serious nostalgia for me as there used to be one in Round Rock, TX 20 years ago. I make it a point to see if there's a Lamppost anywhere near where I'll be in California everytime I visit simply so that I can take a trip back in time.

The pizza remains just as good as I remembered and the staff were great.

After several visits, I feel it’s time to speak up about my experience here. While the food has consistently been great, the service has been just as consistently disappointing. On multiple occasions, my wife and family have been treated rudely by some of the women working the front. It’s disheartening to walk into a place and feel unwelcome, especially when we’ve continued to support the business.

I recently tried to address the issue directly by calling and asking to speak with one of the owners, David. After being put on hold for almost 10 minutes and having to call back, I was met with a dismissive attitude. I explained the reason for my call, only to be told he “had to get back to the kitchen”—a clear sign that the conversation wasn’t worth his time.

Again, the food has never been the issue. But when you’re regularly spending $120 to $140 per visit, a basic level of respect and professionalism from the staff doesn’t seem like too much to ask.

As much as I’ve enjoyed the food, I won’t be coming back. If you’re looking for great pizza with better service and a more welcoming atmosphere, I’d recommend Urbn Pizza down the street. The staff there are friendly, the drink selection is better, and the overall experience is far more enjoyable.

(Also attaching a screenshot of my call log, showing how long I was on hold—despite being told “the phone just rang.” That kind of response only adds to the frustration.)

Unfortunately, after several visits, I feel compelled to share that the service here has consistently fallen short. On multiple occasions, staff members—particularly some of the women working the front—have been noticeably rude to my husband and family. I recently attempted to address this with one of the owners, David. After being placed on hold for nearly 10 minutes and having to call back, I was met with a dismissive attitude. Despite taking time to voice my concerns, I was told he “had to get back to the kitchen,” making it clear that the brief conversation wasn’t a priority.

The food here has always been solid—no complaints there—but the lack of professionalism and courtesy from the staff is disappointing. A little respect and decency shouldn’t be too much to ask, especially when customers are consistently spending $120–$140 per visit.

As much as I’ve enjoyed the food, I won’t be returning. If you’re looking for great pizza with better service and a more welcoming environment, I highly recommend Urbn Pizza just down the street. The staff there are friendly, the menu offers a better drink selection, and the overall vibe is much more enjoyable.

This used to be our most frequented restaurant in the village and we basically ordered the same thing every time. They do have the best gluten free crust ever. We always ordered the Cobb salad too, but they started mixing blue cheese with Cesar, which just destroys the dressing, so we stopped going. But we're back for that pizza and just skipping the salad

Place is amazing for the community. They give back and are gracious hosts for the entire sports organization in Vista. The food is awesome. Establishment is clean. Kids feel welcomed. Can't say enough about LampPost/Backstreet, the crew and ownership

Stopped by for a quick sandwich before the movies and I had a submarine, it was so delicious!
The toasted the roll and it had on it all the Italian deli meats, they could go a little lighter with the dressing the next time but all in all it was good and the staff were very nice.

One of my favorite pizza place. I usually get the whole nine yards, lots of toppings, good sauce and crust is perfect. Great selection of beers. One side is a bar with seats other is more booth and table family friendly. Definitely a go to place for me.

Very nice, and even though it is a big restaurant, it is actually rather quiet usually. The food is always good no matter what you get, and there's an arcade. My family and I eat here all the time it's a go to with great food. We usually get the submarine sandwich (great to eat both as one or to split) or the whole nine.

Vegetarian options: There will be something tasty for everyone to eat no matter what. You can even get a split pizza.

Dietary restrictions: There's usually something for everyone! All you have to do is say something.

Parking: There is always parking, no matter what.

Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly

Wheelchair accessibility: There are ramps wherever needed, no automatic doors though.

I want there long since I only ate two slices in house. It has a great atmosphere to it. I had there extreme combination style pizza, wow. So much stuff the stuff kept falling off. The medium was 33 but it was worth it, lasted 3 meals.

Parking: Your best bet it to head towards the main street if you're coming from the highway. Past the theater there is a parking lot that no one wants to use. It's not really out of the way but you do have to walk about a block.
