My husband Casey is the Cintas representative for this restaurant and he told me I had to come in and try the food, best in San Diego!! Service was excellent, ambiance was clean and professional. Will be going back for sure.

Took a friend to lunch for her birthday, and we had the lunch special..entree rice and beans.. a small cup of soup was included as well as chips and salsa.I have been here several times and have always liked the food. Today, I thought the salsa was a bit more watery than in the past. Our chicken tortilla soup had neither chicken or tortilla but was delicious with fresh vegetables .our entree was served at the same time and was not hot.. but was good, so we went ahead and ate . Our server was friendly and attentive as always..will try lunch again sometime. Hopefully, food will be better .. I like to support small family businesses.

The definition of a hidden gem located just off Vista Village Drive. Came here with my family on a Saturday night and there was plenty of seating available. We were promptly served chips and salsa and they took our drink orders. They're still working on getting their hard liquor license so the margaritas were made with wine but you couldn't tell much. The food was all spot on, we ordered flautas, carnitas, and the birria served in a piping hot molcajete. Everything was spot on, the carnitas was my favorite followed closely by the birria. Everything was very fair priced and multiple servers checked in on our table giving great service. Definitely worth a try!

YES YES YES !!! If you're looking for amazing authentic Mexican food THIS IS THE PLACE ! They do take a long time but it's because they make your food when you order it. I had the Molcajete de Birria and it was so good! My husband had the tacos de asada and was very impressed. Staff is super friendly. The ambience is fun ! They have karaoke nights and some bands playing after 8-9pm.

Wonderful food at amazing prices! Very clean very comfortable but not divey. The staff is always extremely helpful and nice. The prices for their food are insanely cheap for what you are getting. The food is actually pretty authentic to the region. And the portions are extremely large, at least for me.

We found this restaurant on Yelp, and it did not disappoint. It wasn't too busy, which was a plus we were hungry. Our waiter was friendly and checked on us a few times. We had the beef chimichang with rice and beans. It was huge and shared it. The beef had the best flavor, and we couldn't get enough of it. We will definitely go back again.

New ownership is a big improvement. Food is served hot on a warm plate. (Huge improvement over nuked leftovers at Mexican restaurants in Vista). Margarita-just right. Service as expected. Location perfect for Moonlight pre-show gatherings.I will be back. David

We love this local spot. It's our go-to spot for local Mexican cuisine! Let me start with my only complaint, and why I took away one star: sometimes the service is slow, as others have mentioned, and it can take a long time for the food to come out. I realize they're making each order fresh (they have a sign that says this), but a couple times when we've been there it seemed longer than necessary. It hasn't been too long that we won't keep returning though! :) Everything else we love. The service is always excellent and everyone working there are very nice. The menu is pretty extensive and they have many items that you can't get everywhere. I tried the mole for the first time recently and it was DELICIOUS. The bottomless chips and salsa they serve you when you sit down are fresh and so good. They have a nice outdoor patio, and the inside decor is fun & festive. We're so happy to have this place in our neighborhood!

Excellent service and delicious food and drinks. The chips and salsa are fantastic and unlimited. I always get a green veggie enchilada and they allow substations if you prefer flour or corn. The leftovers are an addition two meals. Generous proportions and nice atmosphere.
