3 stars because the rolls were haphazardly made, seems like the rice was warm upon rolling and didn’t get a chance to set to hold together. Messy plating, off flavors and bland roll composition. The chef needs to step it up. Was worried about off taste, possible the sauce not fish but was expecting food poisoning after based on taste and experience. The lack of attention to detail and basic composition/technique means that a complete reevaluation of the restaurant needs to be made. Simplistic menu to guarantee consistent execution is highly recommended over large menu with lack luster delivery. Make your rolls with care and ensure consistent quality or you will fail.

shocked by all the good reviews i waited for 20 minutes for a menu rude staff unwelcoming terrible sushi had a funky taste the rice was watery and food was over priced and bathrooms are dirty and kitchen is even worse. don’t come here. sushi chef with no gloves wiping his face off with a towel from his sweat. not sanitary. top it off the lady was super disrespectful to me and my boy friend.

Went in for lunch. Did a take out order. Service was fast as the restaurant was a bit empty with only 5 different parties inside.
Food was on the expected pricey side for fish with the good rolls averaging about $15 range.
Sushi rolls tasted great and like fresh fish so it was worth the price.
Spent about $100 dollars on six rolls and 3 miso soups; the cashier lady was nice and gave me a miso soup for free.
If I was nearby and craving sushi again I would definitely go here again.

I love it here they never go wrong. I recommend for a quick lunch, healthy dinner or even just a bite to eat with friends. The restaurants atmosphere is inviting and I've learned that the owners are really awesome people.
This is my favorite sushi spot in North County. I have ordered many various dishes off the menu, all have been excellent. This place is a hidden gem that should be busier.

This place is such a hidden treasure! The food is really good especially the Sesame Chicken! I asked for more Ginger and they arrived with a big plate full of Ginger! The atmosphere is beautiful and peaceful.

I had been coming to get my food to go for a while. They had always struggled with poor service inside so I would get it to go. I ordered to go and waited over 30 minutes. When I went inside to inquire they said they hadn't even started my order! They argued that they were "busy." I politely asked for my money back and they started arguing with me. Regretfully, they have lost a loyal customer. The sushi is usually great but they need to learn customer service.
