My sugar addicted eyes saw the churro sign so I stoped by. Staff was immediately attentive & friendly, so much so that I asked if he was the owner (he was). I asked for a recommendation of churro dessert, he suggested the fancy one with ice cream - but that was a little too large. No problem, he offered to make me a custom smaller one.

Gentleman. Friendly. Happy to support and come back. Good food.

Small spot, good food, but their menu online is not what's offered today. Website needs an update. The quesabirria tacos with consume is amazing and so flavorful. My partner loves the Cuban and we all love the churros, so good and freshly made to order.

Our first time here and it was a great experience. Walking in we were explained the different kinds of churros that they offer as well as plenty of food options including tortas and tacos. The gentleman helping us was patient and helpful as we weren’t familiar with the menu. We got the modern churro to share with vanilla ice cream topped with nuts and granola and lechera drizzle. The soft serve ice cream was so creamy and tasted home made, both my boyfriend and I agreed that the ice cream was a perfect consistency, not too sweet, and so refreshing. The churros were made right when we ordered and they were crispy and airy, not too heavy, it went so well with the ice cream. Overall, it’s the perfect summer treat and we will definitely be back.

This place is delicious. The food is made with care and thought. I ordered al pastor tacos and carne asada tacos and a quesadilla. The al pastor tacos were tender and so flavorful. They had a taste that tells you with certainty that this is a family recipe. The carne asada tacos were so good. The meat was perfect 👌. This place is definitely on my list now for great tacos the way they're supposed to be made. I'm glad I came.

We’ve been to quite a few taco shops here in Vista so far. We find ourselves consistently coming back here. The tacos are so flavorful and the churros are just out of this world. Funny enough, we’ve never had the modern churro item on the menu, but we’ve had the churro bites and they’re a delightful treat after some very filling tacos!

Visited on my work lunch with my family. This place is absolutely incredible, and i'm not just saying that. The people at The Modern Churro, who prepare the food really put love into the dishes they serve. I have been craving a Cuban sandwich for the last 7 years and this is the one that hit the spot. The agua fresca was fresh and delicious and you have to try the churros. Can't wait to bring the family back again.

We had Spanish churros with chocolate sauce, and it was very delicious. Only issue I see with this place is the lack of seating to enjoy their delicious churros. There were no inside seatings, and only 3 outside tables that were low quality. The outside table we sat had the umbrella that wasn't adjustable, so we couldn't tilt the umbrella to block the sun. It's fine if you are taking their food to go, but if you want to enjoy their churros hot, it's quite uncomfortable.

Food is off the charts!! Soooo good

Not just a churro place... This place has EVERYTHING from postres, to birria pizza, cuban sandwiches, mulitas, cafecitos, burros, birria ramen... and its damn good. The staff and owner are good people who care about what they do. Place is clean and welcoming. I'd 10000% recommend this place as it's the best in north county!
