TRULY A DIAMOND IN THE RUFF! One of best sandwich places in all of Vista and Carlsbad. I always look for the corn chowder and CA Split when I come to eat here ?? If your a fan of spice this place is for YOU. Best hot sauce selection in the county! And of course they keep the building at a nice 62 degrees to keep you nice and comfortable ?. I love the owner of this place and glad to see him thriving.

Like, when we think of the best sandwich we’ve ever had, most of us say Vista’s Icebox. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. Fresh avocado, crunchy sprouts, cucumbers, quality turkey, and the softest fresh bread ever? And looking at the reviews and pictures, it looks like it’s still the same quality experience and ingredients that I remember. If you want your money’s worth, and to feel good about supporting a family owned local business, you’ll go to Vista’s Icebox. You want a sandwich experience that will leave you thinking about it ten, twenty years later? Vista’s Icebox. Can’t even believe I moved away from this place. I need to fly back!

Vista’s Icebox has a homey feel while serving the most delicious sandwiches. We tried the Reuben and the California split. The size of the sandwich was filling for both me and my boyfriend. The bread was soft and fresh and the meat and condiments were in perfect portions. You could tell a lot of love and thought was put into this deli. Highly recommend and will be back the next time we’re in California.

Having previously worked next to here for years, I can say my FAVORITE sandwich spot! Always friendly service, bread is indeed "pillow-y" like others said, and they do not cut back on the ingredients. Bacon lovers: their bacon is LEGIT, not the paper thin kind. I recommend the classic BLT. Good stuff.
