This shop has the most delicious, freshly made piroshkis! They’re always hot, soft, and full of flavor—just like homemade. The dough is light and perfectly baked, and the fillings are so tasty and satisfying. Every bite is a treat! Definitely worth trying, especially when they’re fresh out of the oven!
This store and restaurant has the most kind, polite, caring owner with a big heart! If it would be possible, I would give 1000000 stars review to this place. It always feels like you are visiting your parent when you meet the owner. Such a special place that truly feels like HOME.
I appreciate all the hard work you guys did in the past 20+ years since I moved to the USA
Kind, nice and very tasty!
The food is truly remarkable, offering a delightful experience for the palate. The owner and staff consistently demonstrate exceptional kindness and warmth towards every guest. The pirozshkis and the soup are particularly noteworthy and delicious. These dishes represent a true culinary highlight. The overall experience is made even better by the friendly atmosphere.
Nice little Slavic grocery store. Clean, warm service
It's not as large as some stores in SF and Peninsula, but still has staples and many most beloved specialties.
What a great deli and store. I stopped in here randomly on a rainy day with a coworker. We each had a delicious bowl of soup and a piroshki and that was more than enough food for lunch. The borscht was very good. The people working at the store were very friendly and attentive. There are two small tables to sit and eat at. We didn't browse the market very much but I saw lots of interesting cookies, honey, meats, and other unique items. I'd highly recommend this place for lunch or some to go treats.
Good course for Easter European foods. Good homemade cakes and salads.
Pretty expensive food from bakery/cafe.
But they sell very good bread
They are selling Croatian goodies in there!!! Burek, vegeta, argeta tuna spread, cevapi, napolitanke, lepinje. People who work there are super nice and open to suggestions. Also, their freshly baked bread is so good.
Love Babushka! The owner and the employees are all very professional and sweet. The food and snacks are always very fresh and delicious. I especially really enjoy the baked pirojki - just the right amount of dough with plenty of meat inside. Yum!!! <3

Like checking this place for food and European groceries.nice and friendly staff
Have always loved this place. It's been far too long since I have been back. Their Pielmeni is my favorite!
Great selection, very good *ready to eat * food. Love coming here, and would highly recommend!
1 star for the cakes. 2 more stars for service personnel and everything else. Has the owner himself tried those cakes? He used to make his own type of Napolion cake years ago, but now he seems to resell someone’s cakes. Those cakes are no where near what they are supposed to be by USSR/Russian standards. I had to throw it away. It is just not good. Besides flour, eggs, and a lot of sugar it has nothing else. I will never buy cakes from that store until they start making their own.
I am pretty sure the owner does not eat such cakes because I tried his own style of cakes when he used to make them himself, but now it is just not good. Please bring back your own style of Napolion cake.
