We had a 630 reservation on a Friday night and we were rushed thru out entire meal. Our server Arleth came over about 10 times and that's not an exaggeration. It was very rude and then she told us she had to leave at 730 when she handed us the bill. It was too bad because we wanted to enjoy the food and drinks. One guy even asked if we wanted a box when we were still eating

It was easy to get same day reservations on a Saturday night. We were greeted & seated right away. The waist was attentive. The menu has. nice variety but would appreciate more vegan options, although we were blessed to convert some of the vegetarian options to be vegan by leaving out the dairy. We ordered a salad & were surprised that it arrived with the entrees. We would have rather had the salad first & the entrees served after we finished the salad. I didn't see a wine list, maybe I just didn't notice it? I ordered the sangria & it was a nice change of pace but would prefer a wine list. The noise level was very loud & it was hard to hear each other without raising our voices which felt uncomfortable as the tables are quite close to each other.

Had a reservation. I went in a waited for about a good 15 mins. It was pretty empty. I've been coming here for a good 4-5 years before it was bar Camino. (Maria Maria) Now bar Camino i still have enjoyed it. It was my wife's birthday and she loves eating here. Sadly it didn't happen this year. There was a lady walking back and forth. Looked at me and wife for a good 5-10 mins and just continued walking back and forth. No one greeted us nor told us someone will be right with you . Nothing . We are Mexican just throwing that out there.. I white lady comes in with her 2 children and ask “are you guys waiting” we said yes . I kid you not . The same girl who saw me and my wife waiting say that white lady come in and not even 5 secs she approached her and asked how many ppl and ignored me and wife . Again we were waiting there for 10 mins and we had a reservation. Never again will I support this restaurant..

We were furst tine customers and found everything about the restaurant was VERY good. Food/drinks/service was VERY good. We will return as thus mexican restaurant was badly needed in Walnut Creek.

God food and very friendly, competent staff. Not a particularly good choice for a family dinner since we wanted to chat. It is a vibrant, loud atmosphere that would have been perfect for more of a party vibe than we were liking for.

Bar Camino is a nice place to eat. It's clean, well lit, plenty of tables... all the things I like in a restaurant. I worked in the restaurant industry for over 20 years and so I have different take than most when it comes to eating out. Everyone was friendly and attentive. Our server did a great job taking care of us. My only negative experience was the food. We shared the Pollo Mole. I am used to a version with more chocolate and this was more spicy...for flavor; not heat. The brussels sprouts were a little on the bitter side and still a bit hard. All in all, a good experience. I would give them another chance and order something different.

This is a perfect place for a warm night out in downtown Walnut Creek! Excellent food and great drinks! On top of that you can bring your pets to the outdoor seating. Although, we were one of the only tables eating dinner outside, they could have come to check up on us a little more. Highly recommended for those people who like to enjoy a great bar and excellent Hispanic food!

I went with a good friend. I was pleasantly surprised with the restaurant. I can’t believe I haven’t been here before.
We started with chips and salsa. The salsa dip was as expected, but the chips were a bit thick. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with mole sauce. That was satisfying but I have a feeling the mole wasn’t house made.
She had the tacos and I think she didn’t quite enjoy that. She ended up only eating less than half.
We had cocktails and those were just ok. Not as strong as I would’ve liked.
Service was fine. The waitress frequently checked back especially at the end as if trying to get us to order more or trying to get us to vacate our table.
Overall it was good. The atmosphere was upscale and inviting. They have a large patio area which would be cool to be in weather permitting.
I would go back to Bar Camino. I give it 3.5 stars.

This was our first time at this restaurant. The same location has been many different Mexican restaurants and this version is by far the most authentic. Chips & salsa were fresh and tasty. I had birria chili relleno (suggested by our waiter) and it was delicious! We will definitely return

We had a group of 8 with a mixture of ages for my mom's birthday, the service and food was great. It's a great place for families.

Server was great and food was fine except for the small salsa portion. The patio was nothing to write home about. Messy, a bunch of picnic tables and uncomfortable metal chairs with small tables. No ambiance. The location is right next to the river however they don't try to use that to their advantage. Patio has great potential but I wouldn't come back for what they offer.

This place is good. The drinks are incredible, Ceviche was awesome 🙌🏽🙂‍↕️, but they can definitely improve in terms of their entrees. Service was top-notch. Will definitely be going back here!
