When we told our Uber driver where we were eating, he gave us a history of the restaurant and its recent name change. The food, wine and Port were outstanding, We didn’t finish out main so we could order desert. Haven’t had Port in 20 years (in Australia) because Port can be finicky, It was amazing, Graham’s 20 year Port from Portugal, Was perfect with out Tiramisu and Lemon Cake. The marinara sauce for the lasagne was perfectly balanced. The staff was great - friendly and helpful. Angela makes all the pastry and took over the restaurant from Salavotore (the old owner). Absolutely recommend!!!

This high end Italian restaurant is Located in downtown Walnut Creek. It's not where the busy part of it though. And if it's your first time going, you'll have to slow your speed because it's easy to miss, the sign is not easily seen. However, it's a beautiful restaurant, especially the outside dining. They do allowed dogs and love that they accept reservations. It is a bit pricy but might say it's standard price for Walnut Creek area. The food was delicious! The taste is worth the price. We had a couple of appetizers: calamari (love that it was not overly breaded), roasted cauliflower, and garlic bread! Now the garlic bread is something to talk about: not overly powerful garlic and cheese, served on a warm and pillow soft bread. The entrees were: special of the day "Truffle Fettuccini with Prawns," Linguini with roasted tomatoes, Steak with broccolini and potatoes, and Salmon over orzo pasta and Swiss hard. All beautifully plated and food tasted phenomenal. Our server was lovely, though sometimes we couldn't hear her because there was a huge party next to us celebrating someone or something. But they were nice, they apologized for being loud. It would be nice if they had a room for big parties but they don't have the space. Overall experience was great: good food, great atmosphere and customer. Can't wait to go back!

Nice restaurant. The bartender waited on me (Dena?) and service was excellent. Clams and linguine were super. Definitely coming back here.

Food is delicious. Gives you a warm homely energy every time. Food is fresh and from scratch. Couldn't ask for anything more. True gem.

Brought my mom here for her bday and everything from the customer service, ambiance and food was impressive. I was looking for an Italian restaurant in the area and was quite surprised at how good this place is. I ordered the Ravioli Formaggio and the alchemist gin & tonic. I tend to always lean towards ravioli when I'm eating Italian and happy to report this was done extremely well. I'll be back!

My girlfriend and I celebrated Father's Day for dinner. The food was amazing. We split the Papardelle al Ragu and the Vitella Romana and the Beet Salad. The meal was wonderful. The service was outstanding. The couple next to us was starting desert as we sat down. The waiter looked at the ladies Tiramisu someone had delivered to her and apologized. "That is too small a piece. I will bring you another." A minute later, the owner brought a larger piece to her and apologized profusely for someone bringing a small piece of tiramisu the first time. We enjoyed the wine and cocktails as well. We will definitely be back.

I've been to Benvenuti twice before and had both good and bad experiences with the food itself, so I decided to try it one more time for their happy hour. I was very excited to try their HH as not many Walnut Creek happy hour spots go as late as 6:30. The later end time makes it easier to make it after a day of work. My friend and I came here and ordered 2 cocktails, both of which were fresh and strong. We were happy with our choices! When it came to food, we ordered the calamari, the happy hour pasta choice and garlic bread, all to share. We were very shocked when they arrived and we're extremely small portion sizes. Ofcourse, we expect happy hour portions to be maybe 25% smaller in size, but this was smaller than a children's portion. The food was alright, nothing special either. We were honestly very shocked. I don't plan to come back for happy hour food as it three orders were barely enough for even 1 person's dinner. I would however come back just for drinks as the prices were decent and the taste was good. I

The food is delicious but it's definitely missing that 'wow' factor that would let me give this place 5 stars. We picked sitting outside because this inside although not many people in is loud and echos a lot. Take consideration about sitting outside the patio is quite small but very pretty and cozy. The bread was very nice and soft and the nicest thing is that they bring out warm butter making it very easy to spread. The rústica pasta was great came out hot and tasted fresh. The lasagna was ok a little soft for me and I wished that the top cheese was crispy. Everything is presented very nicely and service is very kind and help full.

Delicious! For appetizers we shared the meatballs and cheese gnocchi. Entrees tried were the lasagna, chicken picata, pesto gnocchi, and cesar salad. Highly reccomended to make reservations and come with friends.

Really enjoyed our meal last night. Stopped in on the way to the Concord Pavilion show and I'm glad we did! Food, service and speed were all excellent. Check out this gem if you have the opportunity.

Benvenuti is, hands down, the best Italian restaurant in the area. It is a family owned business and Angela and her staff serve delicious food that never fails to please. They serve home-made pastas and use grass-fed beef in many dishes. My favorite is the chicken parmigiana with delicate angel hair pasta. My husband loves the linguini vongole or the casarecce siciliana. Appetizers are amazing - try the cauliflower! Desserts are always great - Angela's lemon chiffon cake is like a lovely lemony cloud. Angela and her staff are always friendly and smiling. You can tell that this restaurant is a labor of love. I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

Loved this place. Feels like the classic Italian restaurants that used to be everywhere and now are hard to find. Really delicious.

Very calming atmosphere. Great calamari not so much the sauce. Loved my casarecce dish. My friend was not too fond of her ragu, but my other friend loved her linguine pescadero. I would definitely return.
