This place is always great. We go there once every few months and always love it. Prices are good, food delish and the tea leaf salad is a real winner – just make sure to ask the server to bring the salad to your table unmixed so that you can do it yourself or they can do it – it's so much more beautiful that way. Note that it's no longer possible to reserve a table – it's all open seating since March 1, 2025. Today it was a bit loud at lunch (very energetic) but in all a terrific experience.

Excellent dishes; Tea leaf salad, eggplant, pad Thai, pineapple salad, salmon, Burmese tea. Great, attentive service.

This place never disappoints. The food and service is always top notch! We usually go twice a month :)

It was pretty easy to secure a reservation even though the restaurant turned out to the packed. Went for dinner and got the prix fixed Valentine's Day dinner which was delicious and a lot of food! There was an energetic ambiance, and the staff were all very attentive and friendly. The only downside was parking, which could be tough, but that's not in the restaurant's control.

Wow! I feel like it's so cliche to call a restaurant a "hidden gem" just because it's in the suburbs or not upscale or something like that. I'll refrain from using the term especially since the place was packed when we went for Valentine's Day. Add in the eye-catching building it's located in and this place is anything but hidden. That being said, Burmese cuisine in general is a bit of a hidden gem. Not very commonly found in the western world but so delicious. Our dinner at Burma 2 was oh so delicious! We started with samosas and chicken lettuce wraps. The sauces that came with the two dishes were great accompaniments however the dishes were great on their own. For salads, I had heard that their tea leaf salad was something of a specialty and it didn't disappoint. It has some common traits to an ordinary salad except kicked up a notch with nuts for a crunchy texture and the actual tea leaf itself provides a unique bitterness that I've never had in a salad before. My partner got the mango salad which he preferred because of the fresh, bright, sweetness of the salad. Our entrees were the Burmese shrimp and the basil and chile beef. I swear I could eat both of these dishes everyday for the rest of my life. The words: Depth. Of. Flavor. The shrimp had an incredible combo of sweetness and umami that came out so savory and mouthwatering. Also, I have to give props to the kitchen for perfectly cooking the shrimp. I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor of the beef as well. I thought it would be overly sweet like something from a Chinese takeout place however the flavor was so much more complex and savory. The chile came through beautifully and pairing it with the basil made it all taste very well spiced. Finished with a fried banana and ice cream for dessert. My bet is they don't make the ice cream in-house but regardless it was a perfectly sweet pairing with the banana which was beautifully fried. The lychee martini is decent; the wine list is better. I'll be back.

Super busy, but expected for V day. Waiter forgot a good number of our dishes which got delivered at the end, but considering how busy you guys were and how awesome the food was, all is good!

Service was great. Food didn't have the pizza I would expect from Burmese. I expect more exotic flavors and spiciness.

Great, innovative, semi-casual dishes and a welcoming vibe.

Amazing flavors and uses of herbs and spices! Very unique and absolutely delicious in every way! It’s a blend of Indian and Chinese style flavors but unique in its own flavors and ingredients. I Highly recommend this restaurant for so many reasons.
They have patio seating as well.

Really fantastic food, great service, awesome vibes and we’ve heard some lovely live music there in the past as well! A staple for us when we go is the samosas which are to die for. Crispy yet soft on the inside, very well-spiced with an addicting side sauce. I love to get the black pepper tofu as well. It’s a rich, flavorful, savory dish that’s a must try for vegetarians/tofu lovers! More than once we’ve requested boxes to go but by the end of the night everything is finished and we no longer need the boxes. Top notch restaurant that stands out in downtown WC!

Vegetarian options: Samosas, multiple tofu dishes e.g. Black Pepper Tofu, veggie rice and noodle dishes

One of my go to places in Walnut Creek! Highly recommended for either dine in or take out. Food is always super fresh and delicious, while drinks and service are equally excellent. The sesame beef and various Burmese curries are exceptional!

Parking: There are a few paid spots nearby, and a couple for customers out back, but overall recommend going to a parking garage.

Hate to report because I love the location it is my shopping destination BUT this restaurant ?
Is an extremely prejudice restaurant and I don’t say this lightly and am sad to say so.

Another delicious dinner at Burma 2, with enough left over for a second dinner later in the week! Tea leaf salad delish, as always, and excellent dry curry beef and sesame chicken, with a side of brown rice. Service was very good – a bit slow for our first dish but then purring along smoothly after. A great glass of Sauvignon and a beer and we left very happy.
