These trays of food are not as advertised I ordered five of holiday special trays for Saturday 12/20 which should've fed 40 to 60 people as advertised and it didn't even feed 30 people. The pan in the picture was full mine were only a quarter full and the rice was only a half a pan for five orders. The owner promised to bring more rice and never showed up and then avoided my phone text and calls for the last three days then promised to call me back in 10 minutes and never called me back. He is bad business please google his reviews before you proceed with doing business with him.

This is Dak Prescott type of performance… I was genuinely disappointed. I love supporting small businesses and usually give a lot of grace, but this hibachi was a letdown. For nearly $40 out the gate, I ordered seafood hibachi with steak, lobster, and shrimp and it honestly felt like robbery. The seafood was undercooked, the seasoning was so heavy it overpowered everything you couldn’t even enjoy the experience of eating it. Hibachi is supposed to be about flavor, balance, and the process none of that was there. No love. This was pitiful. The People deserve better for their money.

We hired Citybachi to cater our event and paid in full upfront, as requested by Chris, the owner. After receiving payment, he stopped responding to our emails and text messages. We finally heard from him the day before our event, when he said he was dealing with personal issues and asked if we could reschedule — which was completely unacceptable at that point.
We requested a full refund, but despite multiple follow-ups, we have never received our money back and have not heard from him since.
This experience was extremely unprofessional and disappointing. I would strongly advise others to avoid booking with Citybachi or ensure payment is made only after services are rendered.

We paid CityBachi in full for their services, but no service was ever provided. After payment, the business became completely unresponsive. When we finally heard back, we were told the owner was dealing with personnel issues, but after requesting a refund, we received no response.
To make matters worse, the company’s website appears to be fraudulent — it contains no current or verifiable information, and there is no reliable way to contact or confirm the legitimacy of the business.
This has been a very disappointing and frustrating experience. I would strongly caution others to avoid CityBachi.

Worst food truck ever first they tell me they open at 4 I drive all the way from uptown Philly to south Philly for it they not open yet I call the number the man tell me they be open at 5 so I did a lil shopping in the area when 5 can I go back where the truck be at no truck there call them back now a girl answers the phone and say we be there at 530 it now going on 630 and I still haven’t got my food this service is the worst I ever seen

I’ve went there a couple of times they messed up my food and they rushed my to order and the food texture was stale
So I made an online order Dec 30,2024 for 2 platters spending 217$ to be picked up Jan 2nd 2025 for my sons birthday. On my receipt I was instructed to pick up in San Francisco at 3pm. We were there on time place is closed so I frantically started calling and texting the number on their site and social media finally someone started messaging me back explaining they were having difficulties and that they would be delivering my food by 4:30-5pm so I came home so 5:15 I messaged to get an update no answer at all 5:30pm someone picked up so I started asking what’s going on he said he didn’t know and that they were refunded everyone’s money so I told them I was messaging someone on there page saying they were delivering. So now I have a party with no food and they are not answering the phone. I had time to fix this problem at 3pm but for them to drop the ball like this is so disrespectful especially after I paid my money!! Bad business for real

City Bachi is an amazing food truck with food made fresh. For other reviews saying it takes an hour I’ve never had that happen and find it hard to believe, because even on a busy day I’ve never waited more than 20 minutes for great fresh food. The cashiers and cooks are always very nice and working as fast as they can. I can’t wait for the new place in SF to open and to be able to try that also, but I will always come back to this truck for great food close to home!
