Catering from De Afghanan was a great decision! The delicious selection of dishes that Wais jon recommended was just perfect for my event! He is such a gentleman… a man of his words … and his food is delicious. I would absolutely cater future events with De Afghanan!

Very friendly and true hospitality in the heart of downtown Walnut Creek! The food is very generous in portions and made to order 😋 absolutely authentic Afghan cuisine that is a treat to your taste buds. The kabobs and kabuli pilaf are an absolute 10/10! Hope we can have some Afghan authentic places in Chicago!

So friends told me about this place. Food is good, but only giving 3 stars because I waited over 45 mins for 2 simple orders. Others picked up orders before me.

Delicious Afghan Food!
Mantu is my absolute favorite—perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. The chicken was also incredibly tender and juicy. Service was excellent—friendly and attentive. Highly recommend

De Afghanan Kabob Authentic House exceeded every expectation and delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences my family and I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with warmth and genuine hospitality. Even after regular hours, they graciously allowed us to dine in, going above and beyond to accommodate us.
The food was absolutely phenomenal—bursting with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully prepared. Every dish felt like a labor of love, showcasing the rich culinary tradition of Afghanistan. The kabobs were juicy and tender, the rice fragrant and flavorful, and the naan fresh and satisfying.
But what truly set this place apart was the kindness and generosity of the team. In a time when true hospitality can feel rare, De Afghanan Authentic Kabob House reminded us what it really means to take care of your guests. We left with full hearts and full stomachs.
This restaurant is a gem, and we will absolutely be returning. Highly, highly recommended!

they gave me FAKE money as for my change, their vegetables and products are not washed, they don’t wash their hands before serving or cooking the food!! My food was burnt! SAVE YOUR MONEY!! DONT GO!! The worker named - Yousuf was super rude towards me & had zero customer service skills. Shame on him!

Absolutely disappointed in the service. Quoted 15 min and it kept getting pushed out for over an hour. It’s important to respect someone’s time so I can make other arrangements instead of lying to me multiple times to keep me around

I’ve tried Afghan food at several places across the U.S., but this restaurant is hands down the best experience I’ve ever had. The flavors are rich, authentic, and incredibly well-balanced, bringing a true taste of Afghanistan to the table. IT WAS DELICIOUS 🤤!

The place itself is good, not like a four star resort, but it isn't trying to be. Its clean, comfortable, and meets the needs fine.
The food is good good good. My partner and I enjoy the heck out of this place and devour it every time we go, often going for the combo plate that has all the meats, including lamb.
Owner and his daughter (I think that is who they are) often are serving us and they are nice, sometimes supported by a revolving cast of other characters. It is simple, tasty, and AMPLE!
Best kababs I've had in WC.
