Such a great spot with the nicest bartender and delicious food. Decided last minute to stop here and was so happy with it. Plus no wait time! The galbi was so good we decided to order the entree after already ordering the appetizer.

I gave the establishment a four based on the food and atmosphere, it was a nice vibe for me. I took my two toddler daughters early around 2 and it was clean, friendly customer service, played nice music, and the food was ok. Different twist on the garlic noodles but my daughters loved them. I'd try it again, especially to bring my husband

Stopped in on Monday night for dinner with my bf and ordered a bunch of starters. It was a nice day so we decided to sit outdoors. The staff was super nice and attentive and the food was delicious. I would def return and highly recommend if you are in the area.

This is my first time here and surely will not be my last. Nice and clean with beautiful ambience. Great , friendly service. I later found out it was the co-owner. She owns it with her boyfriend who was busy back in the kitchen. I love businesses like this, especially when the food is so good! I ordered the wakame salad. It was perfect with just the perfect amount of sweetness. I also ordered the Korean fried chicken wings. They were nice and crispy, a little spicy with an incredible sauce, topped with a bit of herbs and spring onion. Their drink menu looked amazing. I'll try that another time. Prices are very reasonable. My cost was under $22 and for food this delicious and presentation this lovely, it was totally worth it. Check the pictures!

I'm a firm believer in the notion that only the South Bay has good banh mis, and ExpectAsian is a great testament to this fact. While ExpectAsian's interior is striking, their banh mi's interior is not. I ordered two banh mis (one with pork and the other with chicken), and both were a tad too salty, very dry, and under-seasoned. The pork lacked lemongrass or five spice -two flavors typical in a banh mi- and had a strong, undesirable pepperiness to it instead. The flavorless chicken was also severely charred and I found myself picking out the burnt pieces (which ended up being most of the chicken) throughout the entire meal. The highlight was the pillowy French baguette which was airy on the inside yet crunchy on the outside. To be honest though, if the bread is the sandwich's only redeeming quality, then it's not a good sandwich. I will say that ExpectAsian nails their interior decor as well as their service, but their food is unexceptional. If you're into cute IG pics, I guess this place is worth a try though.

Went to ExpectAsian tonight and let me just tell you it really surpassed my expectations! The food and drinks were phenomenal. We ordered the Korean fried wings, Beef Momo Tibetan dumplings, bento box, and lychee tini's to wash it all down. The portions and flavors were definitely there. The lychee tini was so refreshing for this summer heat. Nina and Jampa (the owners) are running this gem and I highly recommend this family owned establishment to everyone.

We went there day before Mother’s Day. We really love the place and the people. Food is so good. And everyone in there is so nice and accommodating. I recommended this place to few of my friends already. Also the price is very reasonable. Definitely we are going back!!!

I stopped here on a whim with my family because the other place that I intended to go to was packed. Boy oh boy am I happy that I came here instead. I can't understand why it wasn't as packed as some of the other places on the block but I'm glad I stumbled upon it because the vibe, food, and drinks were bomb! Oh and the two ladies that assisted us during our time there provided us with great customer service. They were friendly and efficient. The place was also super clean and they played good music that helped set the vibe. People began to trickle in while we were there so I guess we just happen to have come at a good time. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed ourselves here and look forward to revisiting again soon. Especially for the black pepper garlic wings .
