Bouncers do not keep people safe he has thugs it was a horrible experience to watch such behavior. In walnutcreek at that! Thank you for such a childish response, I been to your venue many times and this is the first you have ever treated me with such a tone, I will continue to go where I like and your thugs created a situation with 2 unconscious people and continued to kick them, that sounds bad and you must have forgotten Your own reaction of laughter at those injured.

This review is a public service for out of towners. Fuego is downtown Walnut Creeks prime Gay/LBGT bar and night club. I wasnt aware of this when I walked in and sat at the bar. 2 effeminate male bartenders were giggling and screeching when I sat down and I asked the african american for a Modelo and if he could change the large screen tv to March Madness BB instead of HGTV. He eventually understood. My (1) star rating reflects the fact he was able to comply. The hispanic bartender with the complicated hair braids and exaggerated lisp was glued to his phone the entire time I was there. Service is unusually poor and inattentive. I didnt order any food because I wasnt provided a menu. Nothing positive to recommend about Fuego.... not even close....

Came here with a group of friends on a Saturday night. No line or cover charge to get in. Played decent music. Friendly staff. My issue is how they add a 15% charge to your bill without telling you upfront. Bought two drinks that totaled about $29 and when I went to complete the transaction, the tip calculation showed up in odd increments like 5% or 7% which I thought was minimal (a couple cents) so I input a custom amount to give a proper amount. When I needed to sign, it showed that 15% charge plus the additional tip which doubled what I was planning to give. Just be aware for that when purchasing drinks at the bar. I had some other friends who didn't even notice so I'm sure they get away with that practice a lot. Not a great way to want to bring customers back.

Free cover charge if you trying to get in on Friday or Saturday night. Security going try to hussle you for $20 (or whatever the amount is) so he/they can pocket the cash. Same security guards that deal narcotics in the bathroom.

Hard pass. I'm actually shocked to see so many great reviews but... it is Walnut Creek and a lot of these folk out here don't really know what good food and drink tastes like. Came here one evening for some drinks and grub. I guess this place turns into a club at night?! I got there beforehand which was just my luck because my clubbing days are over. Sat at the bar and I was greeted and given a menu. Ordered chips and salsa (it's not free here), chicken tacos, and a pineapple margarita to start. Service was slow and all over the place, but they did seem to have a large private party, so maybe that was why. I asked them if they could change the TV to a sports game that was on since it seemed like nobody was watching anyways. The bartender said that he would change it, but it never happened. The chips and salsa arrived and the chips were damn near burnt. They were also super salty. Luckily the salsa was pretty good, but why would you serve this?! As if that wasn't bad enough, the chicken tacos that they served me were bland and had no cheese on them. I mentioned the missing cheese to the bartender, and he came back with a tiny cup of cheese. The drinks were also disappointing. The Pineapple Margarita was like a watered down sugar bomb and the Peach Margarita tasted like straight up aspartame. I actually had to send the peach margarita back because it tasted so gross. They remade it, but it still wasn't up to par in my opinion. Service was all over the place. At one point, the bartender that was initially helping left and never came back. I ended up closing out my tab with someone else. This was definitely a subpar experience. It's funny because I was actually planning on going to Capullo Cocina but ended up at Fuego instead. Bad decision. I won't make that mistake again.

I came here on 11/24/2023 at approximately 11:10 pm. I showed the security my state issued mobile license. He denied me entrance unless I paid him $40. Mind you there was no cover charge and no one else had to pay. This guy hustle me for $40 while refusing to accept my state issued ID. Do not come here. If he was really trying to keep me out for an age issue, he wouldn't have let me in, $40 or not. This was a complete sham and shows lack of training.

The owner and the security guards here mistreat women , me and my friend went during the club hours where it turns into like a mini club/bar with music. Me and my friend where by the entrance getting air after dancing and supporting the business by buying multiple drinks btw .. any way, it all started when the owner grabs my friend by the waist without her consent and she turns around and respectfully tells the owner of fuego to not touch her. After he heard her tell him that, I guess his ego got hurt and kicks out my friend just for that reason! Then once the security guards realized she was with me then they proceeded by harshly grabbing me to get out even though I didn't do anything and pushed me ! (Mind u I'm only 5'1 women and weigh 140 pounds while this gorilla looking man is very rough) Then he calls the cops on us for nothing lmao what a joke. I'm js if u support women don't come here. One of the security guards was insulting me and saying very nasty harsh things about me as well. Never going there again

I love this place. I’m here literally every weekend. I live 10 min from here. David is always my waiter and him and his team are the best. Always ordering a skinny margarita with tajin. The bartender is the best too!

Always blasting their terrible music outside. Ruins the atmosphere at the other restaurants around. Lame.

Have gone to fuego several times and haven't had a bad experience until this past Saturday. Food is decent, but my main complaint is the cost of drinks....70$ for 2 long islands on a Saturday night. Really? Due to this I will no longer be going there, since other bars have much fairer pricing and better customer service. Also, the staff is rude and uncaring.

First time in this dangerous place, what a horrible experience! Security Guards are there to solve problems, not create them! You don't feel safe, people who go to that place are in danger with the security guard who are so aggressive, I saw how they beatted a guy just for saying a word in Spanish and the security guard interpreted it as offensive.
