I knew something was wrong when we walked in the place it was so dark and then, I guess she was a waitress ! she came over with an attitude and we tried to order some food, told her we never been there before she didn't care so she brought the food, some sliders, at the time we thought they were good and then about an hour and a half later I had to go straight to the bathroom and my wife in the morning has a bad stomach what a terrible place this is I recommend avoiding this place.

As of today they have no chicken wings and no mango. Not sure what going on but I didn’t feel welcomed. I won’t be back.

A good selection of beers and cocktails here. Lots of IPAs. A little loud but still able to have a conversation. The Naan tacos were ok but the pretzel was fresh, warm and soft.

I’m visiting on vacation, but tonight I was discriminated against for being foreign. The staff refused to accept my valid Argentine identification and denied me entry. It’s disappointing to experience this kind of treatment while simply trying to enjoy a night out.

Hops & Scotch is a great spot with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it perfect for any weather. Drinks are well-made, with a solid selection of cocktails and beers. Service can be a bit slow when busy, but the staff is friendly.

Plenty of parking and conveniently located just off the freeway. Perfect for a casual night out with friends or a relaxed date. 🍹✨

We drove by once and loved the name and we finally had a chance to return for a drinks and dinner date night. They have an incredible selection of beers and whiskies but also have delicious food. I had two kinds of naan tacos that were so tasty and my husband really enjoyed his sliders. The salty boiled peanuts were a great appetizer too.
It looks like a great place for a group to enjoy the patio seating on a warm evening but the indoor bar area is cozy for an autumn game night too. We don’t live in the East Bay but definitely want to return for the friendly service, savory food, and to sample more scotch!

The sliders were great. Was pleased with the beer selection (they also have hard ciders!). The service was spectacular - Bree (sp?) was amazing.

The food was pretty good--tried the tacos (brisket and chicken). Would not recommend as a place to go by yourself, but would be fun with a group. I typically do not have any issues dining alone but the staff and other customers alike were quite awkward around me after learning I was by myself.

Went here for drinks with friends recently, and this place was great! Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior, this place is one of the top whiskey bars in the country. We couldn't believe the selection. Staff were also super friendly. They really made our night.

Must visit if you’re in Walnut Creek. This place has 50 solid beers on tap with 40 rotating taps. The whiskey and bourbon selection is mind blowing. Staff is extremely attentive and helpful. Highly recommend all the way around.

If you're after a finely crafted cocktail, Hops N' Scotch is the place. Their takes on the classics—especially the Old Fashioned—are consistently excellent. And good news: the naan tacos are back. For those who know their whiskey, their selection isn’t just a list—it’s a Tolkien-sized tome of options. Whether I'm starting the night or winding it down with a nightcap, this is my go-to spot.
