Actually terrible customer service. As a waitress my self I get it, but you don’t talk to people like that. Especially when it’s slow and a person is just asking a question. They had people standing in front, made eye contact with them multiple times, and ignored them. I’m not surprised as to why they never have any

The ingredients are extremely poor, the bagel tasted a day old, fish was really fishy, eggs are clearly premade garbage, spent 24 dollars on 2 bagels? I must have stumbled into the fendi store because those prices are insane, don’t stop here honestly Noah’s bagels is in a different world and their barely

Never met a bagel I didn't like.... But HOB does a great job with quantity of available bagels and cream cheese options!

We've been to a few house of bagels but this location unfortunately skimps on ingredients. On the $9 veggie bagel sandwich the tomatoes are thin, barely any cream cheese, and prices are much higher due to location. Concord location stacks it a bit more and are cheaper. Campbell location for South Bay folks is better too. Disappointed overall.

IExcellent bagels! I got there early for the best selection and freshness-- some were still warm. great texture. I'll go back for sure.

Went in at 7am on a Sunday and ordered a ham and egg sandwich. Im pretty sure the bagel they used was a day old because it was very very hard even for a toasted bagel. The person who made my sandwich burnt it and they forgot to add the avocado I paid extra for. The whole sandwich lacked flavor and all I would taste was a burnt bagel. I wish I had noticed this all before getting home because I would honestly just threw it away and went somewhere else for a better, bigger and fresher bagel. Horrible first impression and will not be returning.

Coming from NYC I was completely underwhelmed by the #2 bagel- I even started to question if it was gluten free, in which case it would have got a 3!

The bagels have definitely gotten better recently - crustier crust, and chewier, but still stuffy, insides. More like the old House of Bagels. They just need to stop running out of poppy bagels so much! It's also one of the few places around to get Whitefish Salad!

I really like this place and it is my go-to bagel shop. I get the flavors of bagels I want (chocolate chip is rare to find!), their homemade cream cheese is really thick and delicious and they do not skimp when putting it on your bagel. This place is easy, reasonably priced, and everything I want in my bagel & schmear orders. I had one breakfast sandwich bagel here and think it's very on par with others. I like their cream cheese so much though that I'll probably stick to the toasted bagel and schmear. Nothing fancy, just good bagels and friendly people working there that don't seem overly worked or too serious.

Always love this place as someone that works nearby and don't like the bland kind of bagels you get at chain coffee shops or other chain bagel joints. The bagels are fresh, and if you don't mind non-fresh you can get a bag of day old ones for a steal of a deal. The workers are always friendly. Like any good bagel or doughnut place, they take time to make so supply is limited daily, so don't go too late if you like a popular type bagel! It is in walnut creek, so prices should be expected a bit higher, it's not like the landlords aren't to blame for that not the business.

Complete trash, a waste of money and empty calories. Cannot understand how an establishment like this is in business. The one time I didn't check Yelp, we unfortunately had the mistake of eating at this place. $33 for 2 bagels is understandable - ONLY because we were in norcal and everything is expected to be pricier, we live in SoCal and get it. But this was literally cardboard. My husband who is the most non picky man, didn't finish the other half of his pathetically tiny breakfast sandwich which consisted of eggs and bacon that somehow had no flavor and tasted like air. We were staying at my best friends in Walnut Creek visiting for the weekend, and had them take a piece of bacon who were just as confused as us as to how it had no taste let alone flavor. We could not get over how terrible it was and proceeded to throw everything in the trash as it was inedible. Again, this has NEVER happened with my husband at any establishment, casual or not.I've never had such a pathetic and sad excuse for a veggie bagel in my life. 1 paper thin cucumber slice that was 3/4th seeds, tomato with no flavor again (let alone any seasoning), 10 sprouts and 1 red onion slice. Positive reviews have to be from friends and family. You've been warned.

Solid bagels and simple coffee for a low price.

I've been to Boichik Bagels in Berkeley and Bubb's Bagels in Livermore to try their so called New York bagels. I'm from New York. Neither of these places come close. Boichik is ridiculously over priced. The New York Times writer who wrote about them clearly wasn't a native New Yorker. House of Bagels is so much closer to an authentic NY bagel than either of these two. I would also go to Bagel Cafe in Pleasanton for a pretty authentic NY bagel. Theirs are made by a bagel house in Oakland I believe but I'm not sure of it's name.
