Ike's Love & Sandwiches

I’ve been going to Ike’s since they only had one location, and was thrilled when they opened up in WC. Sandwiches are still just as stellar all these years later. Prices have increased significantly over that time, obviously they’ve gone up everywhere, but noticeably more at Ike’s than anywhere else. Still great, just more of a treat than a go too now.

Love their sandwiches and the customization available. Can be expensive but worth it, in my opinion.

Amazing sandwiches!

My home store is Walnut Creek, CA, but I have been to others. All are great for take-out or eat-in. I take guests there and have recommended to friends in new locations. Consistent quality, cleanliness, efficiency, friendliness. Sandwiches are great, are served warm, and there's a huge variety of meat and vegetarian. Short list for kids too. They cater also. I tend to stick with one sandwich for weeks or months and then change to another. My current favorite is the Hunter Pence on Dutch, hollowed out with everything.

Good food and friendly staff

The sandwich made me sick. It was just full of sugar, and the preparation quality has gone downhill. Also, naming a business after its founder and making the logo his face is pretty weird, but not as weird as adorning the walls with pictures of him posing with celebrities while wearing a 'Yes, it's me' shirt. Charging $17 for a sandwich on top of all that? I will never eat at an Ike's again.

This location got our order wrong and we realized when we were in a location where we could not return. They put an item on that we asked to hold and my husband is allergic to it so he was not able to consume his sandwich. We have had better luck at other locations. And this was not busy at the time so more care should have been shown to the ticket. Very disappointed in this location. Will choose others in the area.

I ordered the #8 Steve Young with extra meat and extra cheese, but no dirty sauce or mayo or anything like that. I hate mayonnaise-y spreads. The receipt confirmed my instructions, but my $ 21.25 sandwich included dirty sauce so I had to throw it out.

Worst food service experience I have EVER had. My girlfriend and I walk in. The first thing the cashier says "Why are both of your faces red" We are like umm because it's hot? All while he is slouching over the counter. We get our food ordered and sit down. 5 mins later a mother and her disabled child walk in to order. I hear the cashier being rude to them but I just stay out of it. Until I heard him shouting at her across the store trying to embarrass her saying "DON'T STEAL I WILL CALL THE COPS ON YOU HAAHAHAH" Meantime the customer was just standing there.... she wasn't even doing anything. I found this behavior completely unacceptable. As a manager myself, I would never speak to customers like that. He only spoke to them like that because they were vulnerable. I stood up and confronted him for his unprofessionalism and then he started commenting on my clothes, my weight. Everything. This guy not only discriminated against a mother and her daughter. He discriminated against me when I was only trying to do the right thing. I included a picture of him. My sandwich was good, the one my gf got tasted like freezer burnt bread. 0/10 experience.
