Il Fornaio Walnut Creek

We had a lovely table just as we requested and my daughter had a wonderful 10th birthday celebration!

Pizzas at the bar, salads and iced tea on the terrace, a birthday dinner for friends in the main dining room. It all works, in this very well kept WC institution.

We love ll Fornaio....always delicious....festive ...and fun !! Our go to spot for many years!!!

My wife and I went there for the first time and had great service and great food. We had a couple glasses each of their Sangiovese wine to go with our Calamari appetizer, Gnocchi and a mixed seafood pasta, all of which was very tasty. We ended it with a shared chocolate Volcano for dessert. The service was very good and the place had a good vibe and ambiance. We will be back to enjoy more dishes of their nice menu.

We ordered the Linguine Mare Chiaro, but the mussels and some clams were not fresh, there was a strong spoiled taste especially the mussels. The service is good.

Just didn't feel like the Il Fornaio of the past, The food was good and the service OK - no complaints - just seemed much more ordinary and special.

Lovely chain restaurant with Italian fresco decor. Food was very good and prices were commensurate with the location. Nice place for a romantic dinner.

I have eaten at Il Fornaio's in Walnut Creek many times. It is consistently a wonderful experience. The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful. The restaurant is beautifully decorated in an upscale Italian style. The service is always very good. I highly recommend Il Fornaio's for any occasion...business luncheon, special occasion or just to relax with friends over a good meal and a glass of wine.

We were seated next to a window, and near the fireplace, making our experience warm & inviting; a quick little trip to Tuscany. . My salmon was perfectly prepared, as was my companions chicken Marsala. We both love that the vegetables made it a complete & delicious meal. The people who serve couldn't be sweeter. It's almost like having dinner with family , but without the work. Grateful to all at Il Fornio Walnut Creek. Andrea Turner

Tables are nicely spaced and acoustics very good for privacy and business discussions at lunch.

Really want to like this restaurant and have given them many chances over last 5 years, but they have lost our business again. Food is inconsistent. Service is generally abysmal. There doesn't seem to be a manager on site. Prices reasonable. Parking is very convenient and free.

Server not attentive. Seemed like he was going through the motion. I would have preferred Macaroni Grill. Overpriced Italian food with no seasoning. I wanted it to be good but I can't lie
