I was so excited to eat this when they set it on the counter. Looked great. The filet mignon special sandwich. Took the first bite and I was underwhelmed on the flavor, and the meat definitely didn't seem like filet. Second bite, all fat. I thought perhaps it was a one off. Third and fourth bites, more fat. Crunchy, unchewable fat. I gave up after that because it was embarrassing to keep pulling it out of my mouth. +1 because the fries were quite good.
I absolutely detest the service at Kinder's Deli in Walnut Creek. It is a small to medium size deli that typically has three to five employees up front, collaborating to make sandwiches, all with their backs turned towards the customers, keeping them waiting 10-15 minutes to place an order, usually with no more than 6-7 patrons in the store at one time. Every 8-10 months I come back here to give this place a second chance, hoping not to wait 20 minutes to walk out with a couple of sandwiches that are just a bit above average, if that. And they never fail to disappoint, in regard to this almost abusive type of service, all over again.

I haven't been here in a while because last time I got a ribeye steak sandwich I was disappointed at how thin the piece of meat has become, and for more money, almost twenty dollars for the sandwich. I just got home and took a bite out of my sandwich and it is tasteless. There's hardly anything on my sandwich, the roll tastes like it's old and nobody put barbecue sauce on my sandwich or put any in the bag, which they normally do. Quality is going way down here. Completely disappointed.

Ordered regular ball tip sandwich for myself and chicken Caesar salad for my daughter to go. No drinks, no sides. Over $30. Asked for onions on sandwich and got none. My daughter said the grilled chicken was good. Portions and my sandwich quality no where near worth $30. Other than missing onions, service was pleasant. Overpriced, not special, won’t be back.
Kid-friendliness: I did not notice high chairs, but was not looking. Seems like a place that would be fine for kids of all ages.

The Roast Beef sandwich was ok, but VERY OVER-PRICED for the quantity of sandwich purchased.

I absolutely love kinders. I also buy their BBQ sauce every time I'm at the grocery store. The reason for the harsh rating is their prices. Every business is doing it, but the prices are simply out of control for food.

They put pork instead of beef in my Famous Ball tip double sanwich...I only realized something is wrong after eating first half. After complain to cashier that meat does not taste as intended and cut too thin - they gave me new one. thanks. But never they acknowleged the pork being out in there.I only realized back hole where I took the second half out the to go bag and showed to my wife before throwing it away.I like the beef one, but I don't eat pork. This could be a serious issue for many people.
The fries are amazing!!!!Also, the jerk chiken sandwich is great.
