It is conveniently located in downtown Walnut Creek.? I came here for the first time to buy a cake for a friend's birthday party. The girl behind the cake display was pleasant and friendly. Everything looked sooo good, and like if it just came out fresh from the oven. ?"Fresh Baked" ? The only downside is that they don't have any Vegan opinions. But I asked for gluten-free and Yes! They do have some available! Yay!

5 stars are not enough for this bakery! A friend brought me two slices (princess and marzipan) as I had been getting inquiries about good wedding cake references. The flavor was delicious and they were beautiful. Let’s just say I am kind of a cake snob, so I am so excited to have found a new favorite bakery! They were excellent and fresh, even though I didn’t get a chance to eat them the night she brought them. I will be ordering my next celebratory cake from Le Gateau Elegant!

Everything looked amazing, fresh. Asked questions about the petit fours and the response was ‘I don’t know’ ‘everyone is made w/an almond pound cake’ after ordering the choc. No almond-just choc. Asked if the raspberry had a thin layer of frangipane, ‘I don’t know’. Didn’t suggest the princess cake ( that is traditionally made w/frangipane) -not sure the person knew what I was referencing… will try again but training for behind the counter defiantly needs to be updated.

Love this place! Such a nice quaint bakery, I come here almost every time I finish shopping at broadway plaza, the cakes are always soft, moist and perfectly sweet, and the cookies are so cute with nice designs and they taste amazing! Also the lady up front was very kind to me, and answered any questions I had! Would definitely recommend to anyone to stop by and try a dessert.

Beautiful cakes and cookies, extremely nice and knowledgeable staff…loved this place and would trust them to make any special occasion memorable. Left with chocolate cake roll, cherry cheesecake and lovely decorated cookies.
The carrot cake was outstanding. Delicious and looked beautiful too.

My Husband spent several weeks tasting all of the cakes in the Bay Area before our backyard wedding in June 2022. Le Gateau literally takes the cake! We went with a 3 tier wedding cake with vanilla cake and raspberry filling and the result was absolutely stunning. The cake was hands down, one of the most beautiful parts of the wedding. We really wanted to take the food over the top for this event since it was a humble backyard wedding with under 100 guests. The cake really got us there. They also made it east for my husband to arrange from our home in Brooklyn, NY. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome and even have the top saved in our freezer for one anniversary next summer. Thanks go out to the whole team at Le Gateau who made our special wedding cake possible xx

These are the most amazing cakes I have ever had both from the design perspective and the flavor!!! They were so delicious! They did the large fondant Alice in wonderland cake with the contrast and cards as well as the sweet smash cake for Leila that was EXACTLY the same as the “happy unbirthday” cake from the original movie ☺️ We couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out! Also ordered cupcakes. They were the highlight of the party we would 10000% do it again!
