Excellent food! This was my first experience with Caribbean cuisine, and based on my experience at Lita, I will be returning. I had the curry shrimp pasta. The ample portion of this "small plate" item served to me was very tasty (I will be having the second half for dinner tomorrow or the next day). We sat indoors, and it got a little noisy at times, but it wasn't a big problem. Lita had enough servers to ensure we didn't have to wait long to get someone's attention when we needed something. Overall, it was a great experience. I can't wait to go back and try another menu item.
We had a party of 4 and were given one small table. We asked to move to a table behind us for 4 people that had a bigger rectangular table and they said we would only an hour for the table so we said no thanks. They ended sitting 2 people at that bigger table and they were there for 2 hours.
We were not the right patrons for this restaurant. In general, the food is spicy and has different types of pepper in the sauce or protein. We thought they might be able to tone it down but there weren't many items that could easily be mild as the sauces or marinades are made ahead. So don't go if you have this type of issue. The waitress was just ok. Overall, there was nothing I liked about our experience...I'm sure someone with a more robust palate would enjoy.
We had a reservation at 8pm, and we got there on time. Our table wasn't ready. 5 min later, host and hostess at front told us to wait at the bar. While we wait we had drinks and chips & guac. We didn't get seated until 40 min later. Our waiter was great. He came to ask to take our orders 10 min after being seated but we didn't have the menu. Not his fault. We've been to LITA several times, but the food was just ok this time. Maybe because we had too much drink and chips by the time we got the food. We'll still come here though. Love the vibe and we haven't tried all the dishes yet.
Now a days its hard to rate a place on value. Everything's expensive. I judge a place on two things. LITA got both down. Our food came out HOT and the food had FLAVOR. Thumbs Up!
Totally loved the food and service. The doubles and oxtail tacos were mouth watering and perfect for lunch. Will be back for dinner 😊
Absolutely love this restaurant. The food was outstanding and the service is great. The atmosphere is fun! Highly recommend
Today, I had an exceptional dining experience at Lita. Although I had visited the restaurant previously, I made a reservation through OpenTable, which was fortunate because the establishment was made aware of my birthday. The staff demonstrated exceptional kindness and went above and beyond to celebrate the occasion. From the moment we entered the establishment, we felt like valued guests. The food was exceptional, and the ambiance was chill and relaxed, which contributed to a memorable experience. We extend our sincere gratitude to the staff for making my birthday truly special.
We shared several dishes and all were amazing. The cocktails were also top notch. Our server was really great and made appropriate suggestions; he was also attentive but not overly so. I love the vibe at Lita, but perhaps it's a little 'tight' between tables, etc.. Everything was so great so I won't let the crowdedness stop me from returning.
The staff, atmosphere, and food were all great! The location is good and there's a public parking garage nearby as well as metered street parking.

We had an amazing dinner, thanks to Chef Street. The food, service, atmosphere were all exceptional. My friend invited us to his sister's 70 birthday so it was our first experience and they did not disappoint. Thank you

As a consummate critic of restaurants, I have to say Lita is beyond appreciation... the service begins as you walk in, welcoming you then the food experience... perfect fusion of Caribbean and Latin rates and spices, abundant for hearty eaters like me. A must visit. In Walnut Crerk, stands out Among many competitors...

I'm Jamaican and I must say I was truly impressed with the food. My first time going there and I'll definitely be back. The ambiance was superb. I totally enjoyed the Afro/Caribbean music in the background as well. LOVED IT!!!
