It's a nice little no nonsense Mexican restaurant in a convenient location. They serve a simple menu with very reasonable prices and generous portions. The fajitas were great, the margaritas were alright on the rocks but a pass for the frozen.

Sad to see Maria Maria close their doors but the current environment makes it difficult and its last of the Maria Maria restaurants that will finally close their doors. At their peak it was always fun to go late night to the bar and enjoy a margarita but the location was getting a bit dated. We dined at the restaurant but settled on just the bar toward the last few years. We stopped by one last time before they closed the bar. They will reopen under the name of an old reliable restaurant in Lafayette with a menu from both restaurants. It will be interesting to see if they can make that work.

We just recently discovered this place and enjoyed the lovely outdoor patio. Now it looks like it’s closing??? Sadness!!

Went here to do a delivery and so no one in the entryway. Waited about 5 minutes when somebody said hey are you picking up an order? I said yes and he said let me go check for you 5 minutes later another lady comes up ask if I've been helped I told her what happened and she said let me go check on that for you 3 minutes later she told me it's going to be a 10 minute wait. Said that they are super understaffed and backed up in the kitchen. That's fine but they should have told me immediately what was going on and not have me wait there for 10 minutes! Completely unprofessional I had to cancel my delivery and waste all that time and gas money. Completely unprofessional! They should have somebody in the front at all times waiting on delivery drivers and other people coming in the restaurant! This is unacceptable they need to have a better staff ready for any night. Do not recommend

Maria Maria lost its charm. Food was great before pandemic. Menu got changed as well. Had limited menu options. Got disappointed going so far for this place

The tacos are good but Maria Maria has changed so much. The changes were evident even before the pandemic. When they got rid of the duck tacos and the amazing Chipotle cream sauce I think it was the beginning of the end for them. They are now charging for chips and salsa. They only have one red wine by the glass. The pandemic has really pushed them over the edge. Very sad. I wish them so much luck. I hope good fortune comes their way and they can turn things around.

Yelp said you could get free nachos but when we tried to redeem they gave an excuse the restaurant was being sold. They gave it to us anyway but we had to ask

I've been to this place a hundred times. One of my favorite lunch spots. The site allowed me to make 1200PM reservations for me and my clients. We arrived to find they aren't open for lunch during the week!! Their VM was full and just hung up. Good job on the notifications

Excellent good and good service. Got the combo burrito and shrimp fajitas. And of course a couple of margs for me and the wife. Good spot!

Just had dinner here. Quality of the menu and food has drastically changed. I won't be going back after our experience tonight. Service was good but the quality of their food was terrible. Queso dip tasted like canned cheese, chicken tostada was mainly lettuce, 2 pieces of shrimp in shrimp tacos. I totally get minimizing the menu options but but you can't go down 3 notches in quality of food and expect people to pay $$. We should have walked away when we saw there was less than 10 people in the entire restaurant. If you've eaten here before there used to be a wait list to be seated.

I have been a customer here for years and tonight was my first time back since Covid. While I understand that many restaurants have scaled back on menu offerings- the food quality was absolutely horrible. We ordered the steak & chicken fajitas- nothing was cooked fresh obviously just quickly reheated and extremely chewy to the point of being turned off and inedible. The rice and beans that came on the side used to be delicious black beans with almost like a orzo?? I was shocked to see canned refried beans served now instead and $5 for chips and salsa! Such a bummer, I have always loved bringing my dog and enjoying the nice patio but now after this experience I will check this off the list of neighborhood go to's.
