Love the Nordstrom Marketplace Cafe. Their food always tastes so great! Favorite is the chicken meatball penne pasta. I wish I can have it all time. Serves are always pleasant. I literally always eat the marketplace in different states and I never had a disappointment. Glad they always good food and desserts.

Overpriced - nobody there to assist for those unfamiliar with the process. I asked questions and the lady at the counter kept pointing to the menu or special brochure on the counter. Only after I asked what's the process here did I receive limited assistance. We ordered food and the receipt requested tip fill-in - I was like "what am I tipping for, ordering food?? I thought I was being nice and added $5.00 to a $50.00 tab. Once we found our seat we realized the service person would now be serving us. Fantastic! now she see's the Cheap ass $5.00 tip as she grabs the order receipt and I'm sure she's like " omg what a jerk". Shame on management for allowing this to take place for the hardworking service people and put me in the now uncomfortable position. We ordered a Margarita pizza - worst pizza I have ever encountered. Clam chowder was good and Turkey Club was meh. Disappointed - would not recommend.

Food is alright but, if you're looking for a quick fix when craving a seafood pasta, I usually go to Marketplace Cafe

I had never eaten here before a few months ago when I was having the salmon which was excellent. Today I have to preface the story with something. The current reigning champion for clam chowder in the entire Bay area is and has really always been John's Grill in the city. My cup of clam chowder in the Nordstrom cafe was equal to that. That is, I don't think it is possible to get a better clam chowder anywhere. Truly phenomenal. I paired that with their cheese biscuit. While a small extra cost, the thing is gigantic and very delicious. The side salad was extremely well presented with several halves of small heirloom tomatoes. Finished with a fountain drink, properly served in a glass. The total meal was just a touch more than a delivered sushi roll that I usually get at my office. If you want to upgrade to filet or salmon, it is among the best values in town. I don't think I'm going to come anywhere else for lunch in Walnut Creek from now on.

Beautiful large café with a Nordstrom. Well located. It's hard to even tell him in the store. Excellent service. One of the managers came up and assured us and reassured us. My friend ordered: The salmon Presentation was amazing. Order at the counter pay for it ahead of time and sit at the seats for service. They have a check down on us a couple times afterwards, even though it was a counter order area. My other friend ordered a coffee. It's just a really nice café to hang out with Darden chat. There's a lovely balcony area with plenty of seating as well. Unfortunately, it was raining. Otherwise, we would've been able to go out there easily. Highly recommend.

A totally dependable choice for dining while at the Broadway Plaza shopping center, Marketplace Cafe at Nordstroms can be found on the 3rd floor. Lots of seating inside, which was pretty full of Christmas shoppers because it was too chilly to eat out on the patio. You can grab a menu at the station at the entrance. Or use the QR code to view it on your phone, except for the specials menu. Order at the counter, take a number, and they bring the food to your table. The specials on my visit included a wine flight, spiced apple sangria, and a ribeye steak. Good variety, which is necessary to be a crowd pleaser at the mall: soups and starters, salads, pizza, pasta, entrees and sandwiches. I ordered a cilantro lime signature salad, which comes with baby greens, jack cheese, tomatoes, pumpkin seeds, tortilla crisps and a cilantro lime vinaigrette. I got it with salmon, which brought the price to a reasonable $21. Delicious dressing. Not the best piece of Alaskan Sockeye I've ever had, but this was a quick lunch at the mall. Open 11-7 most days, 11-5 on Sundays.

Normally I love this place for lunch. But today, and once before, the salad they served was inedible, with rotten lettuce leaves sprinkled among the fresh. I tried to eat it but gave up: simply too much bad stuff. I called the waiter and asked for another salad, which was brought (no charge). However, this had the same rotted lettuce and this one, the Asian chicken had a rotten, very old piece of mandarin orange. I was starving so again, picked out the worse and lined my dish with these pieces, so show the chef. I called my waiter and asked to see the manager. I think it was the chef for the day who came out. He was polite and said, 'I see what you mean; I wouldn't have eaten that either.' Wow: then why did they serve it to a customer? Two salads, both with rotted lettuce and fruits. And they did not return my money. This is not the normal way Nordstrom's is. 90 % of the time the salads are fresh, tasty, wonderful, thus the 2 star rating for food. Nordstrom: wake up and make your restaurant as consistently good as your other merchandise. Please take this seriously !

The Marketplace Cafe is on the third level of Nordstrom in Walnut Creek. We have been many times for lunch while shopping in the area. They offer a wide variety of salads, soups, and sandwichs and some very nice desert items. We particularly enjoy seating on their outdoor roof top patio featuring views of Mt. Diablo. The prawn salad is a particular favorite. Highly recommended.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome.Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible.

This Nordstrom's Cafe is just the right place to have a delicious lunch-' salad or sandwich or larger entree-- while in the busy Walnut Creek downtown. The food is good and the prices even better. You order at the counter and then have friendly attentive service from longterm staff after that. Such a cozy place to relax and eat in the midst of all the hustle and bustle.Vegetarian options: Great and varied vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: Good place for families and groupsParking: Lots of parking options. All are paid parking. And, beware the Walnut Creek meter maids! They do not mess around.Dietary restrictions: Easy to ask for what you need.
