We celebrated Valentine's Day at Melo's in Walnut Creek with my wife, brother-in-law, and sister-in-law. The atmosphere was warm and festive, perfect for the occasion. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly. Overall, it was a lovely lunch filled with good conversation, great company, and a wonderful dining experience.

My family and I had such a wonderful experience celebrating my birthday here — I'm so glad we chose this spot! Our 7:15pm reservation on Valentine's weekend was understandably a little behind, and there was a small hiccup with our table, but they quickly made it right with premium hospitality (cheers to the complimentary champagne 🥂). Our server was prompt and super friendly. We started with the focaccia (total crowd pleaser), warm olives, and calamari — all delicious. I had the gem Caesar (hands down one of the best salads), and everyone enjoyed their garden and beet & goat cheese salads. I also appreciated that they cleared the table before entrees arrived — it's the little things! For a party of 8, every entrée came out piping hot! I had the porcini mushrooms with added shrimp (perfection), and my husband loved the vegetarian lasagna. Others ordered the classic lasagna, fettuccini Alfredo, and meat pasta — the quiet table said it all. From two chefs — trust us, it was that good. We'll definitely be back!

Thursday not overly busy, so it was quiet and peaceful. A plus for sure. Lentil soup was awesome and the garlic bread was wonderful as usual. Wife loved the pesto and the chicken Marsala was perfect. All great. No complaints. Will keep coming back for sure.

This was my second time at this location. Came to celebrate my birthday as well as a friend's birthday and we had such a great time. We all had different pastas and everyone loved their food. The service was good and they even gave us free dessert for our birthdays! Will definitely be back again soon.

Melo's always delivers with great pizza, excellent salads, and great environment. We sat outside on the patio, where it was a bit quieter (in a good way) and enjoyed the bustle of Walnut Creek. Server was indifferent though, and seemed interested in turning the table. He brought the wrong drink, asked if we wanted dessert while we were still eating our pizza, and dropped off the bill long before we finished, saying “no rush...” though it sure seemed like a rush.
Everything was great. Food, service. Our server was David and he was great. We'll come back again!

Have eaten at Melo's three times in the past month. The menu selection is extensive. Food quality is good, although one in my party was disappointed with their food. Atmosphere is casual and the restaurant can be a bit noisy when it is busy. If you are looking for pretty good Italian food, including pizza, then it is definitely work checking out. Easy parking in the attached parking structure. Would not recommend for a romantic dinner out.
