I had the absolute best experience today at Mendocino Farms in Walnut Creek thanks to John C. From the moment my family and I walked in, he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. John’s hospitality was outstanding. He treated us with genuine kindness, patience, and care, making sure every detail of our order was perfect.

It wasn’t just about great customer service. John created an atmosphere that felt warm and personal. He checked in on us, made sure we had everything we needed, and took care of my entire family as if we were his own guests. That level of attentiveness and professionalism is rare and truly made our visit memorable.

Mendocino Farms is already one of our favorite spots, but John turned a regular lunch into an exceptional experience. I cannot thank him enough, and I hope the team knows what a gem they have in him. We will definitely be back and asking for John!

They say 25-30 minutes and 55 minutes later you’re standing there with four others, all waiting for orders and the manager on her phone and one guy trying to do all the jobs. It’s awful.

Visited on a Sunday at 1 and the kitchen is completely scattered. 17 mobile orders show ready but not complete. In person orders exceeding 30 minutes waits for half sandwich salad combos.
But worse, while in line for a refund, the employee expediting orders was opening all the sandwiches and fingering through them without changing gloves in between or when touching kitchen items.
Disgusting. Cross contamination...allergy risks...just completely unaware.
No management on site, woman with the clip board clearly not aware of how to handle the chaos and kept doing circles behind the counter.
Food unrated...we never got it. No one did for 31 minutes.
Will update if we ever return which isn't likely until the staff gets kitchen cleanliness training.

Bad experience here tonight. We ordered food online. The estimate we were given was 6:14pm. I arrived to pick up the food well before the expected time so I was ready to wait but I ended up waiting close to 30 minutes. I wasn’t given much of an explanation for the delay but my guess is that they forgot to make one of my items. Our sandwiches were very cold by the time I finally got them home. They did not taste good. One employee did apologize to me for the wait. That was nice of him, but missing the estimated time by 20 minutes is really bad, especially considering that the restaurant wasn’t busy at the time. As you can see from the photos, the estimate was 6:14 and the other photo was taken at 6:29pm shortly after they told me the chicken tenders were not ready yet. I won’t be back. This was an embarrassing level of service.

I would rate this overcrowded place 0 stars if I could. I enter the building and go to where my online order is supposed to be already and it’s not. No bags are up there. 15 other people are waiting for their food. Business has stopped for one monster order and we all get to wait. After realizing I wasn’t going to see my food anytime soon I asked for a refund and left. Nobody greeted me at the register and when they finally did it was a lame excuse about being busy. Then don’t tell me to show up for my food at 12:33 when you can’t have it finished anytime remotely close that time. Totally unorganized operation and will not see a dollar from me. I wrote this right after my experience and could say more. I get bad service all over the place but I don’t write reviews. Their atattitude got me going. Eat elsewhere

I ordered a double portion of chicken to be added to the avocado & quinoa salad. Seemed just bit skimpy on the chicken for the extra amount I paid. Also, the employee named Emily was a smidge rude. Kinda smug for a girl working in a restaurant. Whatever. Food was tasty though.

Can I be honest? I love this place ❤️ — the the food is everything! I’d honestly come here a couple times a week if the service was faster. Please, please do something about it 🙏 because I’d love to enjoy this spot even more often! And I’m sure a lot of people would agree;)
