Montecatini Restaurant is always a welcome evening for our family. We can always count on perfectly prepared meals every time whether it's a traditional pasta dish, seafood or house specialty item. Their service is friendly and efficient and our experiences there are consistently top-notch. We love to start with either the prawns wrapped in pancetta with pesto aioli appetizer or the bay shrimp on butter lettuce salad. The prawns are full of flavor and great to share, and the bay shrimp salad is a great portion, small meal-size with delicate balance of flavors. The carpaccio is also a favorite of our family, we order it with the arugula, red onion and dijon dressing. You cannot go wrong when ordering your favorite Italian entrees; we've literally never had even an average experience here! Pastas are perfectly cooked, well sauces and the portions are abundant. The Classics are authentic, delicious and the seafood entrees are always perfectly executed! They offer a full bar and a wonderful wine list! This restaurant gets my highest recommendation!

Montecatini is an excellent small restaurant serving delicious Italian food. The menu is very extensive, and the food is prepared remarkably quickly. The portions are large (I shared a Secondi with my wife) and very tasty. The only downside was that the noise level was very high: conversation was difficult. Some sound absorbing materials on the ceiling would help. However, the vibe is great, and I would go again.

Went on a Friday night at 6:45 with reservations for 4. Promptly seated. It was very crowded in both the bar and restaurant. Noise level was so high one could not have a conversation with our friends. Carpaccio appetizer was very good as was the Caesar salad. Both were big enough to split. Entrees were the Halibut special which our friend loved. My husband had the tortellini in a cream sauce with pancetta and peas. It was excellent! I had the eggplant Parmesan and my friend had lasagna. Both were in a very heavy tomato cream sauce and too much cheese and sauce. Would not order that again. Overall the service was great and the food was 6 out of 10.

Our waitress was Renee this time and we had a fabulous experience. The food is absolutely the best Italian food you can find anywhere in the Bay Area. And yes, I have been to Italy.

Service was off, especially drinks from bar were extremely slow. Ordered a latte to go with dessert but cancelled and settled for burnt coffee. Waiter neglected to mention the special peanut butter and chocolate covered dates had walnuts. My wife is allergic to walnuts so only had a couple of bites. Staff seemed overwhelmed and did not have to dining experience we are accustomed to having on past visits.

Great food, wait staff awesome... delicious pasta primavera, friends had scallops and the lasagna. So good . It was like the Godfather was sitting somewhere in the restaurant enjoying this great italian restaurant

We love this restaurant. Last night was as usual....excellent food and service fair prices, and noisy. The latter is our only complaint, but it isn't a deal breaker as we keep going back. They have been in business a long time and it shows, very well run restaurant.
