I love Montecatini. But, the noise level was too much and there were some empty tables. Wish they could do something about it. We really couldn't carry on a conversation.
Went for my wife birthday, and had a very enjoyable time. The food, as always , was great, I had the special, Salmon with capers, in a wine sauce. Terrific. Montecatini's is our go to place for many years, and it remains so.
Love the service and the food. The drinks are excellent. We will be back often. This is our third time here and want to make it our go to restaurant.
Food was excellent - noise level - loud, service was so-so. Would definitely go back and give it another try - food was that good!
The salad and dessert were great. All of our entrées were mediocre. The noise level is extremely high. The staff is very attentive and polished.
What an amazing job these young owners having done carrying on a Walnut Creek tradition, unbelievably even better than before.
So we have a reservation for my girlfriend's birthday and when we got there we had to wait 15 minutes before we got sat. The host said that he had a lot of walk-ins but we had a reservation so we should not have had to wait. The tables we're open in the restaurant so I don't understand why we had to wait for a spot. Then it took an over an hour to get drinks for wine and a cocktail. Then we ordered our food and we waited for 45 minutes and it didn't come and then when I asked about it they said my lasagna was going to take longer. We wind up being there over 2 hours before we finally ate and got out of there with a reservation on my friend's birthday. I'm always a generous Tipper but I did not tip in this circumstance which is highly unusual for me

Montecatini Restaurant is always a welcome evening for our family. We can always count on perfectly prepared meals every time whether it's a traditional pasta dish, seafood or house specialty item. Their service is friendly and efficient and our experiences there are consistently top-notch. We love to start with either the prawns wrapped in pancetta with pesto aioli appetizer or the bay shrimp on butter lettuce salad. The prawns are full of flavor and great to share, and the bay shrimp salad is a great portion, small meal-size with delicate balance of flavors. The carpaccio is also a favorite of our family, we order it with the arugula, red onion and dijon dressing. You cannot go wrong when ordering your favorite Italian entrees; we've literally never had even an average experience here! Pastas are perfectly cooked, well sauces and the portions are abundant. The Classics are authentic, delicious and the seafood entrees are always perfectly executed! They offer a full bar and a wonderful wine list! This restaurant gets my highest recommendation!
Really nice neighborhood restaurant with friendly staff, delicious food and a very comfortable vibe - be it romantic, dinner with friends or family or just wanting a good Italian meal
My wife and I had our anniversary here and they made it a very enjoyable experience. It's still nice to see a place with a real candle on the table and a clean tablecloth. The prosciutto wrapped shrimp appetizer was very well cooked and the sauce on it was delicious, I would recommend getting it. I had the scallops and my wife had the salmon and they both melted as you ate them and the pasta rigatoni you get is very good. We split an order of tortellini that almost stole the show...our server was very cheery and attentive. We will for sure be going back to try more dishes

Fantastic food and service. It quite crowded with tables and so the noise level is very high.
Montecatini is an excellent small restaurant serving delicious Italian food. The menu is very extensive, and the food is prepared remarkably quickly. The portions are large (I shared a Secondi with my wife) and very tasty. The only downside was that the noise level was very high: conversation was difficult. Some sound absorbing materials on the ceiling would help. However, the vibe is great, and I would go again.
