Had the Brussels sprouts, polpa, cacio e pepe and a pinsa with broccoli and spicy sausage (forgot name)
We’ve been traveling yearly to Italy for over 15 years and sometimes twice a year.
The polpo rivals the one I had in santa margherita ligure and forte de Marmi. The cacio was as good as in Rome and the Brussels sprouts were amazing. I prefer Napoli pizza but the pinsa crust was amazing. Recommend

Don’t order the Cacio e Pepe. It was bland and tasteless.

Food was great, service was excellent, and the "vibe" was mellow. I recommend the bergamot gimlet.

I went here for brunch and it was fabulous! Honestly some of the best brunch I've had in a while. I highly recommend the Tiramisu pancakes.

Way too expensive for what they offer. Worse pinsas ever. The Montesacro had no sauce and non sense boiled potatoes, gross.
Pinsas are super small for 26$. Fettuccine al funghi not worth the 24$ either, the mushrooms looked old, pasta no flavor. Only 4 tables eating at the time, no wonder. Waitress said the dough is imported from Italy, 🤣🤣🤣 yeah right, she must think customers are stupid and actually believe that that dough came fermenting on a plane 🤣🤣🤣

The food is very delicious, but very expensive for the portions they provide.

Incredible, fresh, housemade Italian fair!

We absolutely loved discovering Montesacro on a day trip to Walnut Creek for business. A photo online of their gnocchi drew me in and they did not disappoint! As we often do, we started with an appetizer pizza. The woodfired pizza was perfect. We also shared a lintel soup. My partner enjoyed a carbonarra while I had the gnocchi. The gnocchi were the softest, freshest little pillows of pasta I have ever had! Paired with a meaty meat sauce with bolognese flavor. Everything was fresh and delicious. The restaurant was packed, and we were walk-ins. We settled for a seat at the bar where we enjoyed attentive service. Atmosphere is modern and cool. Highly recommend and make a reservation.

Cute place with an upbeat vibe. The pizza could have been more flavorful. The cutlets & pasta were delish. Cocktails a tad pricey. Service was excellent!

The service was fantastic when we visited, everyone was super friendly and attentive, which made for a welcoming atmosphere. We started with the Suppli Al Telefono, and then ordered the Gnocchi and the Montesacro pizza. The food was flavorful, but the pizza was a bit disappointing as it was supposed to have lamb sausage but only had a very small amount. Also, portions, especially the pasta, are on the smaller side. Overall, it’s a cozy spot with quality food and outstanding service.

Our server, who'd begun only a couple weeks earlier, was great! My cauliflower salad was wonderful. The octopus was very chewy and the predominant spice was overwhelming. The split carbonara was very good, but brought out at the same time as the apps, so it was cold when we finally ate it. We didn't specify, so I guess it's our fault. The bread. THE BREAD!!! They had no NA beer, but told me it was going to be in stock in a couple days. That didn't do much for me. Why only one? Why no choice? The mocktail sounded good, but $15? A Negroni on the menu is $16. It's ginger ale and an NA spirit. Not exactly a craft cocktail. Too pricy. We will go back and hope for a better experience.

I didn't like it because it was my husbands birthday and there was supposed to be a candle on his dessert but instead there was a candle on the other person behind us. Won't be going back. I even told the waiter. I won't be going back

A credit card was required for our reservation yet despite knowing we were coming they were out of many of their entrees that included any protein, only pizza or pastas were left. Our waiter was terrific and apologized however, it was still very disappointing. The food that we did have tasted good so I can only imagine that what we could not order would have tasted good as well.

Our server was wonderful. Reminded me of the old days when some servers were passionate about food and wine and shared their knowledge with joy. Made our experience lovely. He was quite responsive to the fact that we had theater tickets afterward and took good care of us. Food was delicious.
