6 Best New Restaurants in Walnut Creek

“First time in walnut creek location. I went to the Oakland one once. I got the papito tofu sandwich, really good bread with tofu, cheese, plantain, sauce, greens. It was good and big I think it was 17$. I put the hot sauce that comes.on the table, it was good and I would get it again. This restaurant reminds me of my all time fav sol food in san Rafael that I've been going to for past 15 years, I would choose sol food over this place but this one is in walnut creek and very convenient. Service was.quick when I came on a Tuesday at lunch hour.“

“Doughzone offers a affordable and convenient location to enjoy a variety of dishes. In terms of bang for your buck, it's amazing. All of the dumplings, soups, and noodles that I tried were delicious with decent portions.However, the service was a bit slow and non-attentive when I was there. Took a very long time to get our order through even with the restaurant mostly empty. Possibly due to the recent opening though, so I would be surprised if this doesn't change as time passes.All things considered, the food was great and affordable, and its a great addition to the Walnut Creek area.“

“Great service from beginning to end. Delicious breakfast and very accommodating. The portions are large enough you can share. We had a Popeye omelette and breakfast burrito and they were both delicious and big. We were sitting at a table next to the window which would normally be perfect. But, unfortunately, we happened to be there when the sun was beating through and we asked to be moved. Our server, Alexis, couldn't have been nicer or more understanding and moved us immediately. (Three more parties did the same after us.) On a nice day there is a large outdoor dining space which is great! This restaurant is much needed in this part of Walnut Creek and it's a must go to place, for the food and service.“

“A lovely and very tasty indian restaurant downtown! Husband and I went on a Saturday night and it was nice to see it was busy. Food was fantastic - we had samosa, garlic naan, fish fry and butter chicken. Everyhing was fresh and so delicious. Service was a little slow, and our waitress was not very engaged with us. We would have appreciated some note on website that they don't have a liquor license but we did see one group get a bottle from next door. We had some chai and it was perfect. We will definitely go back, and with a larger group so we can try more dishes!“

“Great different style "roman" pizza. Very flavorful dough; light and airy. Almost tastes like focaccia. Favorites were the bianca mushroom and the ricotta zucchini. Homemade ranch is some of the best I've ever had. You can really taste the dill. Caeser dressing was really good too with just the slightest taste of anchovy.“

“Ambiance: 5/5 Came here for a private party and loved the atmosphere. The lounge itself isn't very big. It consists of high seats at the bar and a few tables with couches. I loved the painting and the whole vibe of a "dark and stormy" sea adventure. The decor, ceiling, and walls were all beautiful accents to the overall theme. We had a set cocktail menu and 2 bartenders allocated for the private party. Cocktails: 3.75/5 The only cocktail my boyfriend and I tried was the syndicate, and it was perfectly made the first time by the bartender. We had a different bartender for our last 2 cocktails, which consisted of more citrus and not enough vodka. It was not very strong and gave me a bit of acid reflux. I enjoy a well-balanced cocktail, and these last 2 fell short of the mark. The cocktail itself was vodka, pineapple, citrus and serrano. Service: 3.75/5 The bartenders personalities started to open up a bit more as the party progressed. Nothing fantastic or terrible about their service,it was just good and what I'd expect from serving a huge private party. Overall, I'd like to give their other craft cocktails a shot under different circumstances. I really enjoyed the venue and vibe but need to try their other cocktails before I can definitively state the cocktails are worth it.“
