I tried their drinks today. The coffee was good, but the teas and matchas were so bland and watery. They claim to use ‘ceremonial’ matcha on their website, but the color and flavor definitely don’t match that quality. Kind of feels misleading. Also, their yuzu apple cloud jasmine tea was basically just plain water with a splash of cream. I’d just go for their coffee next time.

The drinks were absolutely beautiful with wonderful flavor profiles. The overnight oats hit the spot and started my day off right. The chicken banh mi sandwich was a joy in every bite. The service was quick and everything was served with a smile. This place is a wonderful prologue to your day.

This is a review for only their Banh Mi’s, which are only just okay. I had high hopes but these banh Mi’s are filtered for the white Walnut Creek palate.
We got the Dac Biet combo and the Grilled Chicken - Carrots tasted too raw and were not pickled enough - I was intrigued that they make their own butter and pate, but the overall sandwich seasoning was overwhelmingly sweet and could have relied on more savory notes, like Maggi Sauce - Chicken could have been more grilled too, and was too sweet
So far this ranks lowest on the banh mi’s I’ve tried in Contra Costa County, with the ranking being 1. Saigon Bistro in Concord (for value and taste) 2. kibi Cafe (on smaller side, but tasty sandwich) 3. prologue (little more expensive and just ok tasting)

I really enjoyed Prologue! I ordered a sakura cherry blossom matcha and avocado toast and both were fantastic! My friends ordered some other things that were all delicious. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful as well! I will be returning :)

Usually spots like this in a library have boring food but this is actually my wife's and I favorite spot. Amazing avacado toast not overdone with a lot of ingredients, simple is way better but its beyond tasty still... And a good cappuccino😋😋😋
Breakfast sandwich is not at all what is advertised. I didn't even get any egg. I got a frozen egg white patty and it had 1 single piece of bacon and no cheese at all. It was also tiny.....for $11??? I spent $35 BEFORE TIP on 1 coffee, the tiny breakfast sandwich and a piece of toast with avocado on it.....Don't waste your money.

Smaller size of coffee but more expensive compared to Starbucks or Peets coffee. Although it is located inside library, people are very noisy there and bartenders allow this. Today I want to drop another 2 star because I just noticed if I pay by credit card then I will charge another 50 cents.

Delicious drinks and great service. Thanks. I had the Banh salad with chicken too and it was so good. They made me a Ube and Blue Butterfly drink and it was so good. I came back and tried the matcha with ube.

Ca Phe Su Da was good! Pretty strong so definitely enjoyed. Strawberry matcha was one of the best I have had in a minute. Service was okay, atmosphere was quiet and clean! Will be back to try more drinks and their banh mi next time.
