It's so cool to have a coffee shop that serves such unique drinks in Walnut Creek, let alone in the library! I love coming here with my daughter before story time during the week. The owner is so sweet and friendly and ensures all drinks are made to perfection.

Vietnamese iced coffee is so so good it’s sweet but still a bold coffee flavor. everyone who works here is super kind, attentive & welcoming. super chill mellow vibes which fits well since it’s inside the library, but i felt comfortable enough to come bring my toddler in here! it’s also very clean inside & behind the counter. breakfast burrito is really yummy too! it did take a little bit longer but i didn’t mind because i could tell it was made fresh to order. thank you prologue staff!!

I’m elated that Walnut Creek has a new cafe that offers Vietnamese and Korean specialty coffee drinks! I’ve visited Prologue a handful of times now and the service and food/drinks are impeccable. Thùy’s hospitality and warm presence is noticeable each time I come in! She greets everyone who has quickly become a regular at the cafe by first name and she will always share the latest specials. I’ve had the ube dalgona coffee, banana milk ice coffee, and Vietnamese egg coffee (pictured) and each drink was made with special care and tasted amazing! I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu! I highly recommend stopping by on your way to work or for a quick afternoon pick me up. Bonus points if you are able to work from the cafe or stop by the library where it’s tucked away in!

What a delightful find in a perfect location! I've walked by many times on my dog walks, decided to go in yesterday because I saw they sold ice cream mix for pups!...many delicious drink offerings, like coconut coffee and yummy matcha drinks. They have light foods too...connected to the Walnut Creek Library, you can enter from outside or from the library. Patio and indoor seating, and it's right next to our beautiful Civic Park so grab a drink, a snack, and a good book and enjoy! I'm happy to support out locally owned businesses, I hope you are too! ?☕️??
The drinks were really pretty and delish!!! Owners were working the counter and went above and beyond to make sure everything was satisfactory, they made sure to offer to make adjustments to my drink if anything wasn't satisfactory. Superb location, great for picking up a book and sitting down with a refreshing beverage and pastry. I got the lotus energy and a coconut coffee. The coconut coffee was really rich and creamy, not too sweet. The lotus energy was quite fragrant and well balanced, both great summer drinks. Will absolutely be returning!

Happened upon Prologue today by chance! We tried the Vietnamese iced coffee and the pour over coffee which were both so flavorful. Thuy, the owner, is also so lovely! I'm very excited that the library has gotten a fun new coffee shop with unique coffee and non-coffee drinks and food options. Can't wait to try them all :)
