We didn't stay. The table they gave us was tucked so far in the back and squeezed us into the smallest place imaginable. It was like they just put a table where a plant should've been. We couldn't get the attention of any server because they couldn't see us behind the wall so we left.
This is a unique dining environment. The menu is varied for all taste buds and every dish is delicious. The service is excellent. The atmosphere in the dining area has a fun open vibe with the bar nearby.
Fun little restaurants with fun views if you get a lucky seat. Do make a reservation for convenience. Weekend hours 20% gratuity is automatically added, did not see a service fee. Risotto was more al dente than we prefer, the steak was rarer than requested. I'm glad we had gone.
We got oysters as a starter and short ribs for our entrée. What really made a great was our waiter was fantastic. He was attentive yet not bothersome checked on us when we needed it and went out of his way to recommend the butter cake. Definitely have the butter cake.
This is definitely a fun place to hang out. I have tried to come here before but it was super busy and we ended up leaving. This time I made reservations but it wasn't as crowded as I have seen it before so I guess it just depends on the night. We ordered several appetizers and all were delicious. Our server did a good job however the bar was very slow. Our drinks took a long time to arrive. This did change later on in the night as the bar was less busy. That was the only disappointment. Other than that this place would be great.
Really nice birthday dinner with my friend. The food, service, ambiance, and drinks were great!
Food was good but not great. Wonderful building/ambiance though Excellent service I think if they elevate their food, they will be very successful
The server did not tell us the place was going to close down in two hours for maintenance. I was there to celebrate my birthday and was just about to order my second drink and they told me I could not because they were going to close and all I was drinking with champagne it wasn't anything they had to go behind the bar and mix. I felt rushed
Great menu - the Salmon dish is outstanding! Great value, perfect atmosphere for conversation, and a good place for business lunch or just with friends. Service was very friendly and attentive.
A friend and I met for lunch and we had a truly great time. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful, service was excellent and the food and drinks were top notch!

Living in Walnut Creek, we have many options for dinner. I chose Rooftop because I heard it was a great experience and the food was exceptional. Both exceeded my and my family's expectations. The manager welcomed us as first time diners. That was very gracious and something we talked about afterwards. I highly recommend Rooftop for a great experience !
We had a wonderful experience at Rooftop. The service was friendly and welcoming, the food was good, and you simply can't beat the view!!
The location in central downtown Walnut Creek is good, but the evening was breezy, and we struggled to find a spot that was not in a draft. The venue has lots of patio area and the interior is open to the patios. The noise level made it difficult to have a conversation. The service was efficient and accommodating. The food was Ok, nothing spectacular or memorable. Overall, I would not go back for the food, but would for drinks and appetizers, and definitely not unless it was a mild day, or warm evening, and wanted to enjoy one of the patios.
My first visit to the Rooftop and all I can say is that I am very happy with how it turned out! The food, the service and overlooking Walnut Creek on such a beautiful day. My experience was amazing.
Service was not great. Our waiter took too long to get to us. He was asked to use small cubes instead of a large one and brought the drink with a large cube. He did not offer to redo it even though it was mentioned. Salads were served and more dressing was requested. That didn't come until it was almost finished. The entrees were fine. The bill with tip came to about $75 per person. This was too expensive for the noisy experience.
