great store and staff. really wish they would get Big Gay Ice Cream back in stock though 😠it's been gone for months and I really really hope they didnt just get rid of it

Been a customer for a very long time... they know me there... I went to buy some things, buy some Lottery scratchers and cash some scratchers. They tell me they can't cash my meager winning scratchers.. I asked why? no real answer other than trying to reduce foot traffic. I said if that were the case, you would NOT sell scratchers or still have Red Box movie rentals from their vending machine. I also said the same people that buy the scratchers are shoppers getting other things and buying more scratchers. No real answer other than "store policy". Looks like to me that Safeway is just trying to keep their cash - the Calif State Lottery commission agreed and said I'm not the first complaint and will look into it. I'll go to Raley's and Whole Foods now... not worth it anymore here...
