I love Sorrentos! I've been coming here since I was a kid, in high school and as an adult and a mom myself. The minestrone soup was literally my favorite! It's the only thing that I ever felt like eating when I was sick and it always cured me. I love their dinner menu and their salads were so fresh and of course their spaghetti and meatballs. Everything was amazing and for 40 years I've enjoyed it all. I'm so sorry to hear they are closing and I want to sincerely thank them for the delicious food, amazing service and all the great memories. Such a beautiful family. You will be missed.

Sad to see them close forever. I've called many times asking if they had reopened yet. Very strange they would stick around though all of Covid only to close now. Does anyone know what happened?

I wish I could give them more stars! I work marketing at Mercedes-Benz of Walnut Creek and struggled finding food that fit into our budget for 135 people. We've had pasta before, but ordered from somewhere else and the food was expensive, cold, and honestly flavorless. I remember having Sorrento growing up and was surprised that they catered! I called them up Wednesday and placed and order for pick up Friday. Staff was friendly and honest on the phone. Food was HOT, delicious, and the entire staff loved it! Pricing was competitive, but well within our budget. Plus we had more than enough for our staff to have seconds! We make it a priority to try and order from local businesses and this is one we will be ordering from again in the future! Thank you!

One of my favorite places to grab a delicious bite to eat. I stumbled upon this place when my niece's school was doing a fundraiser and ever since then I have been hooked. Their food to go is also super delicious too if you don't feel like eating in. My go to is the pesto pasta. Super filling and their pesto is creamy and not overly nutty. Their fresh bread that comes with every meal is soft and fluffy and delicious. However, don't sleep on the garlic bread YOU HAVE TO GET IT!! I have also tried their pizza and the dough is super fluffy and light and the sauce not overly acidic. Def doesn't taste like a Round Table or Dominos pizza. The soups is super good too if you like that. The cons are the hours as they are not open every day but that could also be a blessing as I'd be in need of more stretchy pants if they were. I would def give this place a try if you're in the mood for good food.

At 76 years old, I've eaten a lot of pizza. Sorrento's is by far the best! I live in Alamo where there's plenty of pizza places nearby, but I always drive to Sorrento's for my favorites, the Joes combo and the mushroom, sausage with pesto sause.

We tried this place out of pure curiosity, A parent at my daughter's school recommended it. We were blown away at how good everything was. We ordered a cheese pizza for the kids, pesto pasta, rigatoni with meat sauce, garlic cheese bread, and a quart of soup. We were pleasantly surprised by the portions and the prices. The pizza crust was soft and fluffy and had amazing sauce. He finished the entire pesto pasta and said it was amazing, the soup was great! We found our new Italian spot!!!!!

Pizza still looks good. We usually went for dine in pasta, but take out only now. Cannaloni just not the same.

Amazing pizza! Lots of toppings, and excellent tasting crust. The garlic bread is really good as well!

Have been a regular of Sorrentos for many years. Let just say through multiple generations of family. Theirs and mine. No better pizza, Italian food or service.

For my wife and I, Sorrento's has been our go-to restaurant for Italian food in the area! Over the years, our family has enjoyed everything on the menu from their pastas to their garlic bread. Their minestrone is delicious too! Lately, we have been in a pizza phase and have been ordering their Vegetarian Pizza and Margherita Pizza. You can't go wrong with their pizza! Outside of the food, we appreciate the service and the friendly chats every time we pick up our order. Thank you Sorrento's!

My family has been coming to Sorrento's for 30+ years. I remember my grandfather swinging by on his way home from work to pickup loaves of bread - it was his favorite around. For generations, my family has enjoyed the delicious food and warm hospitality. We usually did takeout, so enjoying the full experience while dining in always felt like a treat! Sorrento's is my family's neighborhood staple that always feels like home - no matter how long I've been away. My husband and I returned to the area in 2021 and with us brought our tradition of "Friday pizza movie night." Although the original idea is to try a new place each week (it was easier to execute in a city), we find ourselves consistently craving Sorrento's - and not just the pizza! The pizza is our go-to (veggie is our recent favorite), bc we love the fluffy, chewy crust. My mom requests the minestrone soup - deliciously thick and loaded with veggies and noodles. All the pastas we've ordered have been incredible, as well. My favorite is the chicken rigatoni. The kids love the spaghetti (as does my dad). We've had Sorrento's takeout 3-5x/month for nearly the past year, and I can honestly say we've never been disappointed (I didn't love the carbonara pizza, but that's personal preference - too garlicky for me). I'm sad to read the reviews that write off Sorrento's after one bad experience. Those folks are missing out on friendly staff, quality food, and an opportunity to support a local, family-owned business. Context should be considered. DoorDash delivery isn't the most ideal way to experience a restaurant's cooking. And, we're still in a global pandemic. Some restaurants are continuing to operate on less just to survive. Let's practice compassion and understanding, give each other (and ourselves) grace, and relax at the end of the week with a family-friendly meal from Sorrento's!

I was just reminiscing about my childhood and i remember my parents, every week, would get their spaghetti and meatballs. we all loved sorrentos and the service was always stellar. It's sad to see other reviews on here of people saying "i've been coming here for years and we love them, but this one time this one dish was bland" of course they fail to talk about the years of excellent dishes they've had here. This restaurant is great for families, great quality and awesome service. I would suggest it to anyone in the area. Thank you Sorento!

Classic neighborhood place, been coming since the 80's. Great pasta and pizza.

We ordered a pizza at lunch time for dinner pickup. It wasn’t ready right at 5, which we were warned about, but the gentleman brought it out to my car since I was waiting with my 4 children! Then, 4 days later, my husband and I are still raving about how this is the best pizza we have ever had! It was SO good. We were already a huge fan before, but this blew it out of the park!

We had Sorrentos Doordashed to us on November 28th. I have never been so disappointed in my life. We have always had delicious food from there. The pasta my daughter and I had was like mush! Also the sauce was extremely bland and not much of it. As you can see from the picture the wasn't any in the middle of the noodles. It wasn't just one serving it was both of ours. We ended up throwing it out. I'm reluctant to go back there. They are just doing take out for how long not sure. Just beware when ordering.... also think they are a bit pricey for mushy pasta!
