Sourdough & Co. - Walnut Creek

I whipped into the Sourdough & Company for an Amazing deli sando while coming back from the Glardhaven Auditorium way out there on the top of Kickinmeyers Ridge road where we listened to Pinkus McGee lecture on the do's and don'ts of poking sharp sticks at the Bison in Yellowstone park...he even showed everyone the scars where he was gored, all 8 of them.
Man-O-Man that sandwich gro the Sourdough & Co sure was Amazing!

We've been wanting to try one of these for quite some time. Today was our day. We especially appreciate the fact that they have outdoor seating so we could take our dog with us. Having said that, the Ruben style pastrami sandwich was divine! They don't put that god-awful Russian dressing on it and you have some options, but we had it dry on the marble rye and it was just perfect! I ordered a bowl of soup for us to share. We're older and our appetites are smaller and the first time it came out it was absolutely ice cold. We have no idea how that happened because they did check the temperature on their soup and it was correct. For some reason the bowl we got was ice cold. I immediately took it in, asked them to see to it it was heated through. The next one they brought out was perfect. So I have to commend their staff there. They were very friendly. Not upset at all when I pointed out the soup was cold, had it back out to us in a reasonable amount of time and their fresh sourdough bread is almost as good as the stuff we got in San Francisco decades ago.

I love the Reuben style Pastrami on Sourdough. Next time I want to try the cracked pepper turkey, garlic pesto turkey, and the signature Mac and cheese.

Really good sandwiched with fresh sourdough bread. A little bit expensive though. Parking is a bit tough right at peak lunch time.

Barely any cheese on it, no pickle or sauce on a side that I ordered.

Always great food here. So many options to choose from. The Turkey and Ham are my favorite.

Staff is friendly and ingredients are delicious. I would give this place a higher rating if the consistency was there.
It’s usual to get a messy sandwich or ingredients missing (I order the same thing)

the website order tool is terrible, you have to scroll to get all the way down to Walnut Creek, the basket cart doesn't remember who you are, so if you back up one click too many the cart is gone and you have to start over from scratch. and it doesn't remember anything from your past orders to make it easy to reorder. primitive backwards.it's been that way for a year so you are losing lots of business. get with it and fix it. I'll try again in 6 months.everything else is absolutely five star.

The pastrami ruben in a sourdough bun with sauerkraut and deli mustard wss the BEST I have had....can hardly wait to go back. Heard the New England chowder was excellent as well....lovr to order with a sourdough bread bowl!! To say the least I am looking forward to going back SOON! ?

I had a delicious spicy chicken roll. And I was impressed when I got it got and crunchy toasted bread the chicken was pulled!! Omgoodness. I gave them 2 starts for location because they deserve to be on the avenues. Good food, kinda pricey but worth it. I definitely will be returning soon. Staff is phenomenal, courteous and very attentive. Three staff members while nations burgers down the way is understaffed and over worked. This place knows how to sandwich roll! ?
