Carnitas Tacos and Birria Quesadillas.... Worth the stop, great tasting authentic food.

Tacos walnut creek is the best. The pastor is juicy and incredibly flavorful. My husband gets steak, pastor, chx tacos and they come out great everytime. Burritos are huge. Food comes out within 5 minutes everytime,I literally don't know how they do it. Thank God for this awesome place.

Restaurant was clean, employees super sweet and food was very tasty. I only gave a 4.5 for service because you order at the counter , they do bring you your meal, and then you bus your table. I am all good with that.

I used to go here 3x / week about 2 years ago when they first opened. I went yesterday and they lost their quality in their food as well as their packaging. We were so disappointed in our service yesterday. They got rid of the salsa bar so you don’t get to pick your salsas (literally was the best part). They also shoved 3 separate orders of tacos (8 tacos) in the same to go box which was no fun to re organize for the family. Not only did they cheap out on packaging the food, but the food did not have flavor which was so far from the truth 2 years ago. I don’t know if they got a new chef or something but they need to go backwards. Extremely disappointed in their downfall.

This place used to be good but it’s gotten worse the last few times but today I think I’m done with this place. I ordered a surf and turf “super” burrito to go which cost over $20. When I got home, I notice the burrito was pretty small in size for a super burrito. You could argue it was smaller than your average burrito. I didn’t mind it at the time as I was pretty hungry so I started eating it and I realize that there was no cheese, sour cream, guacamole or lettuce in the burrito, it had just beans, steak and shrimp. Not only it was a rip off, it was not as described and it was dry and lacking in flavor. If I wasn’t hungry, I would’ve returned it but I’m never going back again.

Carnitas street tacos were amazing. The chips were very oily and I wasn’t a fan of the tripa taco.

Al pastor tacos were delicious! My boyfriend got the shrimp burrito and really liked it. The green agua fresca was so good and refills are only $1. The chips and salsas were even great!

Very overpriced for basic mexican food. Not worth it!

Such good authentic Mexican food. We have the quesadilla grande with steak and it came with so much tender steak no gristle not too fatty delicious guacamole on top huge portion. And then we ordered a super burrito with El Pastor and it was absolutely gigantic and delicious.

Went back to Tacos Walnut Creek after a while and were reintroduced to great food. The prices are slightly on the higher side but that could be a function of the location. We got two different burritos and both were fabulous. good quality ingredients shone through. Don't miss their bomb of a salsa - avocado lime.

Been here 3 times, food and experience is always good and consistent!

Doesn't matter what you order from the menu, everything is great!
