Great place for introducing Walnut Creek vibe to outsiders. My husband and I had a dinner meeting with a doctor from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It wasn't too quiet nor too noisy, perfect to converse and have fun at the same time.Parking: There are several locations to park with minutes within walking distance.

The vibe is great, love the bar. It was very loud inside so when the bartender asked what type of whiskey we wanted so it was hard to understand him. Partly our fault for not asking him again but it ended up being top shelf and a $30 cocktail which really made us mad as we felt taken advantage of. The food is hit or miss and VERY small portions. Iberico was fabulous, empanadas very bland I wish the aoli was spicy, beef skewers were great but they were SO small and only 2. Overall great for a drink but the portions do not validate the cost.

This place has to be simply amazing in warm weather. The main eating area has huge windows that open, and there's a top story roof deck. We went on a Sunday (party of 2 with a reservation). The Sangria was unique, and my wife really enjoyed it. I found the wine list brief, but there were several nice selections. We only had tapas, and maybe that was a mistake. The 5 plates we tried were good not great or amazing. The paella dishes we saw others eating though, they looked amazing!

We had a family dinner tonight. Our college-aged son, who's on his spring break, suggested this place because he was impressed by the food during our trip to Spain last winter. He wanted to have a special dinner before heading back to school tomorrow. We're a family of four Asians and locals from Pleasanton. After finishing our meal and requesting the bill, we were surprised to see a 20% service charge added by the staff. It felt like they assumed we were Asian tourists and wouldn't tip, which was incredibly rude. Despite spending over $250, we left feeling very bitter. It felt like we were discriminated.

Went here yesterday on a recommendation...Food was Good Service was On Par...But when the Check came They Had Already Applied a 20% Gratuity...My Normal Tip is 20%...But Being Told that they Had Already Decided For Me That My Tip Was Going to be 20%...Left a VERY BAD TASTE in My Mouth...Not Even Sure That's Legal ? Informed Them They Would NEVER SEE ME AGAIN...Uppuddy Communist...So if you like being told What to Do this is Your Place...

Unfortunately I will never be returning to Telefèric. The food is amazing and the staff is usually- from past experiences, great. Today we seen the complete opposite. Let me start by saying that I am no one special, and I do not expect people to cater to me and my every need immediately and push other customers out of the way just to get my food there first by any means. My partner, and I made prior reservations for our visit there today as well. Upon walking in the restaurant appeared to be a lot less busy than usual, I typically come at peak hour times and have still never received such poor service. For example, we get seated first in an empty section- we put our drink orders in with the waitress first as well as 3 appetizers. After she records our order- 2 separate parties are seated in our area. Mind you this AFTER we placed our order with her. The two separate parties sitting right next to us, received their food and multiple appetizers before we had received anything. Each time I have been to that restaurant mind you I have been there over 10+ times we have been told that the paella takes about 45 minutes or more to make. The party next to us. I got seated about 15 minutes after us received three orders of paella, and proceeded to order appetizers after they receive their paella, and we still at this point had not gotten our food. The couple next to us ordered appetizers we sat and watched them, eat all of their food, and still had nothing there. We finally received our drinks and appetizers. I asked the waitress where the other appetizer is and she looked a bit confused and said it will be right out.. We received that one appetizer that she said would be right out about 20 minutes later. The couple next to us had ordered even more food, and at this point had already finished their food and paid before we had even gotten half of our order and again, this was seated way after us with no reservations. When ordering my favorite appetizer, which is the Spanish meatballs, while I was chewing my food, I felt like there was something strange in my mouth. I thought it might have been a piece of food that just wasn’t cooked correctly or had a different texture to it, however It was a piece of plastic Piece of plastic that I could have choked on or gotten sick from. Because I love this place so much I’m a practical person and I understand that things happen and it’s not intentional so I did not raise concern to this, and just disregarded it for the moment. Came back to ask if we wanted anything more to eat and we still hadn’t received the appetizers that we put in for initially and she came back to ask if we wanted to order anything else when I asked her if we were still waiting on the food that we had put in initially, she said it’ll be on the way. I started to raise concern when it had been about an hour, and we still hadn’t received anything. We were literally just watching people eat and sipping on the melted ice from our drinks at this point. As I started to look around the restaurant, I noticed that our waitress was serving food to people that had gotten there almost 45 minutes after us and here we are still waiting for our initial order of appetizers. I’m not sure if our younger age or the way we were more casually dressed. Had anything to do with it and they were just disregarding us because we were just some dumb kids in their eyes or whatever the case is- maybe they didn’t think we were capable of paying for our food because of our young age or because of how we were casually dressed in leggings and a hoodie and I really don’t want to turn it into some thing like that, but I had more than enough money to probably pay for everyone’s food there. Whatever the case may be, I have never experienced such poor service from such an excellent well-known restaurant. My partner and I have gone at such busy times and still received better service and received all of our food and then some. We left not even being able to get all the favorite appetizers that we ordered because they were “coming right out”.

Beautiful restaurant, excellent food, outstanding service. I had the octopus and paella. The octopus was perfect. It's easy to over or undercook octopus, but this was perfect with a nice light char. I thought the paella mixta was a bit fatty and lacked spice and depth of flavor, it was a bit one note. But it was delicious nonetheless and they nailed the crispy rice which is difficult. I highly recommend this restaurant.

While I really want to write a positive review, my last experience was terrible. The front hostess was rude, and tried to have my party sit at a really small table and they refused to let my party sit at a bigger table when we asked. They told us all the tables were reserved. They weren't reserved - they were empty the whole time we were there. Then all the food came out at once and wouldn't fit well on the little table they forced us to sit at and they got annoyed at us for ordering food. Kind of wild when you literally go to a tapas restaurant to order food. The food was ok but not worth being treated badly by the restaurant employees.

Paella was very tasty & Prime Wellington was a twisted and fun dish. Both dishes were my best at that time. Other dishes were good but some of them were a bit blunt saltiness. I will come back soon:-)

??Great spot for some standout dishes. The burrata and paella are solid, and the Brussels sprouts will change your mind about them. Nice selection of Spanish wines and some pretty cool drinks too. It's on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. Worth it.??Fantastic place for some exceptional dishes. The food was good but the quality wasn’t as good as it used to be and some of the food tasted pre-cooked/overcooked. The hostess was very standoffish and gave us a hard time about needing 2 high chairs. The servers were lovely. There is no changing table in the whole building so my poor daughter had to suffer the ride home with a diaper full of poop. A restaurant without any place to change a child really needs to re-think its accessibility

Great food and service! Loud but not too crazy that we couldn't enjoy our food and to be fair we were at a high top in the bar so I'm sure it's much quieter in the main restaurant. Friendly staff, great food, lovely atmosphere, and beautiful downtown Walnut Creek! Highly recommend!
