Excellent! We got a burger and a Nashville hot chicken sandwich and we absolutely loved them both! Feels like a neighborhood bar with amazing food, great vibes at this place.

The pictures say it all. Words don't do this place justice. You can build a burger with just about anything on it. I basically build a cob salad on mine. Haven't had a bad side dish there either. CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!!!

Prob one of my fav places to eat out here! Always a friendly staff and the burgers are freakin huge. The onion strings are a must!

We ate only vegetarian options. Very good Impossible Burger, and shoe string fries. Brussel sprouts were awesome. Buffalo cauliflower was good, but could have used more buffalo sauce.Very friendly service.Has outdoor seating.Vegetarian options: There are some choices for vegetarians. And you can build your own burger.

They have changed the veggie patty .. now it's a garden burger bland-tasting patty. The server was nice and efficient but the food experience pretty poor. Margarita was too sweet, fries were also cold. Not coming back.

Best happy hour in town! Monday - Friday from 3-6. The $6 sweet siracha brussel sprouts are a deal. There is a restaurant two blocks away that has the same brussels sprouts on their menu for $17! The counter has great quality food at reasonable prices and the staff is incredibly friendly. I've been coming here for several years and I consistently have great experience and the atmosphere is super low-key. Sometimes we sit on the patio with our dog. Easy parking and we're not paying the exorbitant Walnut Creek restaurant prices. Highly recommend

The restaurant serves decent food, but don't feel our burgers and fries were worth $170. Didn't help that the restaurant automatically adds a 20% gratuity and over charges for everything you add to the burgers. Feel restaurants that charge so much for basic food should pay their employees out of their own pockets. It's not right in my opinion to expect the consumers to pay their employees wages. So won't eat here again, can get the same quality food at Five Guys. This place also has booths that have torn seating and damaged springs, that make very uncomfortable seating.

Came here for the 'build your own impossible burger', we have always enjoyed them at the Corte Madera location (which is now permanently closed, where the service was always great). We entered the restaurant and waited by the host stand for a couple of minutes, and a man behind the bar called to us, handed us menus and told us to sit where we wanted. We asked if outside was ok and he said to pick a table and our server would be out shortly. There were several tables dining already outdoors, and we grabbed the cleanest table at could find. We filled out our order form and waited, and waited, and waited 17 minutes without being spoken to. At that time one server came out and took the order from a table next to us, that seated after us. It was strange, as we never saw a server come out and service the people that were already dining. We realized we were not going to be helped anytime soon and left, went to Yard House that is a short distance away and had a lovely meal, with tons of vegan options and great service! I highly recommend Yard House. As for The Counter, sadly, I think we had our last meal at the Corte Madera location a couple of months ago without knowing it.

After Covid, we returned to The Counter and are so glad. They make a delicious Kale Southwestern Salad with a fantastic avocado dressing. We really like the variety on the menu. My orders are ready on time and the staff is so friendly and pleasant. I highly recommend The Counter!

My friends and I recently visited the counter in Walnut Creek and the food was good, staff were very kind and friendly, and overall a nice dining experience. Recommend this place when craving a burger and fries!

We found a new fav joint yall! We came for the first time a couple weeks ago for their happy hour bites & fell in love. Had to come back during non-HH to confirm our feels, lol! Tons of indoor/outdoor seating, street parking (paid or free 2HR slots,) urban east coast themed decor, and super chill vibes! Here's what we tried: * Loaded Tots ($7.50) - Rating: 5/5 * Sweet Sriracha Brussels ($7.50) - Rating: 5/5 * Old School Cheeseburger ($11.95) - Rating: 4/5 * Parmesan Fries (+$5) - Rating: 4/5 * Sweet Sriracha Wings ($14.50) - Rating: 5/5 Most of these items are on the happy hour menu for cheaper, but the listed prices reflect non-HH. The wings are easily going on our fav wing list -- they are non-breaded and grilled to perfection! The brussels sprouts make my top 5 fav and the loaded tots? HEAVENLY. Fantastic food, generous portions, and fantastic service. We will be back time & time again!

The service was good, the place was clean and the quality of food was very good, but both my wife's order and mine were way wrong. You mark what you want in a checklist and the easier gives it to the cook, so you are supposed to be getting exactly what you order and it's a great concept, except what we ordered wasn't what the cook apparently wanted us to have.If I thought my order would be correct next time I went, I'd definitely go back, but 2 out of 2 orders very wrong doesn't give me confidence. For the process they charge, I expected to at least get what we ordered.I would have sent them back to have them made correctly, but we got there about an hour before closing and figured maybe the cook was just ready to leave and didn't want somebody who was already ready to go, remake something they clearly didn't want to make in the first place.

Staff very friendly, but food and house made drinks are lousy. Stick to something made elsewhere, like beer.

This used to be our go to burger place that we would go to at least once a week, but the magic is gone. Each time we have visited in the last year we have had to seat ourselves, flag down our server to order food, which is good when it come out but very slow, and on top of all of that they have a 20% service charge. This is the only restaurants we have been to in Walnut Creek that has a service charge and it by far the worst experience in terms of a service aspect. There are many other quality burger joints in the area that I'd recommend visiting instead Of the Counter.
