Ordered take out. Fettuccine Alfredo with mushrooms came out to be $21 and it was a sad kid size portion. Terrible rip off!!!

I thought the sauce was bland and there wasn't enough sauce given the amount of pasta that was on my plate. I thought the meatballs had an off putting taste to it.

Valerie and Mariana were so nice, friendly, and professional. Also the chef Gonzalo was great.

Food had no flavor at all. Ordered creamy pesto pasta, had absolutely no flavor. The “sauce” was like pesto WATER. It wasn’t even sticking to the noodles, chicken was also very plain and tasted like nothing. Had to force myself to eat it and tried to like it but it was so bad. Also calzone was so dry and had no flavor and looked like a burnt bread on the outside. Sauce tasted so bad as well. Also got sat uncomfortably close to other customers when there was other seats available, so awkward.

The food was great, but we were told that each pasta dish was meant for only one person, so we ended up ordering far too much for the table. Although every pasta we tried tasted delicious, it was simply too much, and we found ourselves wishing we had ordered something else to balance out the meal.
We went on a Tuesday night around 7:30 PM for a date. The food was quite delicious, and the noise level was very reasonable. The restaurant was not overly crowded. We didn't like the lemonades we ordered, but I asked the staff if we could swap them out for a soda, and they were kind enough to oblige. I read mixed reviews about the pizzas, but we ordered pasta, lasagna, and minestrone soup, and it was all delicious. I'm on a diet, and the food was not overly rich. FYI - the restaurant doesn't have parking, but there are multiple, reasonably-priced parking garages within a 5-10 minute walk. They're usually $1-2 per hour with the first 30-60 minutes free. Don't fall for overpriced private parking lots.
The food here is great but this place is shockingly discriminatory. If you look at the other reviews on here, you'll see similar experiences. If you are Asian, don't take your business over here. My party arrived before another party next to us, and we clearly saw our pizza was already waiting on the kitchen table ready to be served. They were served before us even though our pizza was already waiting in visible sight to be served. The pizza was already lukewarm by the time it was handed to us. When handed our pizza, we didn't even get a slight smile or greeting from her. She even greeted the other surrounding tables about their specials but we didn't get that greeting. We are paying customers and this is how you treat us? Unbelievable and unprofessional. I don't really write reviews but it felt necessary to write this one.

Great food, try the piadinis, they are all excellent! My favorites are the salmon and the steak. The prices are very affordable especially compared to other restaurants. This is a great casual spot to go with family or friends and also great for take out.

We’ve eaten from Tomatina for years now but in the last few months, the food has just not been the same quality.
I don’t know if they’ve altered some of their recipes but multiple items on the menu are no longer as tasty as they used to be.
They also don’t put safety seals on take out or delivery orders.

We were greeted by a grouchy old man who told us to come back in 25 mns eventough half of their tables were available. Next thing, we saw was him giving a table to a couple who came after us and without reservations. And yes, we are brown people. So yes, i will take my money somewhere else.

Poor experience. Third in a row, beginning with sloppy preparation of the salmon, which was at one time excellent. I should have known as there is no wait at this place any more ever. This Tomatina restaurant has been on a steady decline for years. It not longer has a cozy, friendly feel where people come for miles and line up along the wall with an intoxicating smell of good cooking. Instead it is a dirty shell representing a new Walnut Creek. It is a corporate chain and the staff has a high rate of turn over due to what is clearly a string of poor management.

My husband and I dined here last week as we are visiting our daughter and son-in-law who live in Walnut Creek.
Food was great and customer service was outstanding! Kayla recommended a wonderful pizza and coming from a Chicago girl, who is very particular about pizza, I was very impressed.
The pasta looked amazing on others plates, and we will be ordering soon for take out and will get both.
I understand that the sauce is made in house.
We highly recommend this restaurant!

Do not eat here unless you want to support RACISM, DISCRIMINATION, AND PREJUDICIAL TREATMENT
I have loved this place for its food since I was young, but my opinion of this location changed drastically after having worked here.
My first day of training, I wasn't actually being trained, I was being taught how to discriminate against the customers based on race and ethnic background.
I already had experience as a server and dint need to be taught how to handle the customers, I needed to be taught about the menu and the p.o.s., which I was not.
I asked the trainer several times to stop telling me about his prejudicial ideas on how to handle customers and to teach me how this business is run, and he refused.
I spoke with the manager and expressed my discomfort. She sent me home. The nest time I was scheduled to train she let me go, saying that the gentleman was their lead server and that she couldn't have any conflicts between him and the serving staff.
This woman is very lucky that I did not pursue legal recourse.
