Actually delicious. We’ve had a lot of sushi in the east bay and this was easily the best takeout - fish was fresh, cuts were generous, and seasoning was interesting and delicious. A little expensive for normal sushi takeout in my opinion but a nice monthly treat! We’ll be back to dine in!Dietary restrictions: Gluten, dairy, egg free

Score! Forgot to finish my review from the last time I dined here, but it's been so long that I forgot I've been here before- sorry people, my brain doesn't operate the way it used to! Came here for my son's birthday since he was craving sushi. For appetizers, we chose shishito peppers and edamame both with truffle salt. We then shared a 10-piece omakase nigiri and the sake honey roll. My sons ordered a rainbow roll and the birthday boy had an udon soup with tempura that came with it. All were so delicious- though I can't speak for the rainbow roll since I didn't try it. But my son wolfed it down and still wanted some of my sake honey roll, which I wanted to gatekeep, but I felt like a generous mom. I was sitting across the wall that had the specialties and there was the seared toro with uni that kept catching my eye. It wasn't my birthday but shit, I figured I'm paying so why not. It was $28 for 2 pieces, which my son the birthday boy kept repeating as if we were being careless with money. Good boy, but there's gonna times where money is less important than experiences! Since there were only two pieces, I wanted to share and savor every single little bite with the boys. The rice was falling apart after doing a quick dip in the soy sauce. But the delicate pieces were heavenly as soon as it arrived in my mouth. The toro was smooth and buttery as was the uni, fresh and delicate. Ugh, just thinking of it makes my mouth water. The vibe was nice and low key. The service was friendly and attentive. Thank you, Toyosu.

Toyosu has become a staple for our family whenever we visit Concord. Seriously the best sashimi I've had and it's consistently amazing.I've tried the regular sashimi omakase and premium and it is 100% worth the extra $$ for the chefs choice of Tokyo fish market varieties. The A5 wagyu and uni is the perfect celebration treat if it doesn't break the wallet. The staff that run Toyosu are always over the top helpful, kind and attentive. We love you Toyosu! Happy new year!Parking: The paid parking lot is clutch and cheap.

By far the best sushi spot in the East Bay and rivals some of the fanciest places in SF and NY! Super high quality fish and fast, friendly service! We have been coming here ever since they opened and it never disappoints!

Amazing food. Amazing service. Great experience. The review is simply this- go. Everything we had was amazing. I have 10+ more photos to post but this was all Yelp would allow me today! Fresh ingredients, skilled presentation, attentive service and beautiful, intimate dining experience.

Ordered the bento lunch of miso salmon, California roll and tempura. The miso soup was very tasty. The miso salmon was a bit salty and the California roll lacked something. The tempura was good. My biggest issue was having to pay for pre-made tea that was really weak. And when I asked the service what fish was provided with the sashimi she told me “raw fish”. I had to ask further “what raw fish is served?”

Got a few rolls to share and they were all so good. The fish was fresh and the combos were delicious. They also have a big sake menu to choose from. Would recommend checking it out if you're in Walnut Creek. A great date spot!

Decent sushi for the general area! We came on a Friday night and got seated right away. They offer a shaded patio seating as well as indoor seats at the bar or at a table. For food we ordered the nigiri & sashimi omakase, and sake honey roll. The nigiri and sashimi omakase were good quality fish, I'd order again! I would skip out on the same honey roll, it had way too much sauce and was too overwhelming. Overall not bad, but expensive. Easy to locate and parking spots right outside the restaurant!
