THE MENU IS GREAT. IT HAS FRESH FOOD FOR ALL TASTES IN OUR FAMILY FROM GLUTEN FREE, VEGAN, DAIRY FREE TO EAT ANYTHING. THANK YOU
Food was horrible, top to bottom. Spoke to the he, and tbh she should have comped the entire check. It was just really poorly prepared and missed on so many makes.
Fries soggy and wet. Lasagna was mainly a thick inedible cheese. Salad had way too many sesame seeds.
Our server was incredibly accommodating. Had the food ready for my wife when she arrived and made sure we were both taken care of. Food was tasty and great mix of flavors.
I always have the same thing...Ancient Grain Bowl. I am addicted to it! It's well seasoned and everything in the bowl is cooked perfectly. I have never had a bad meal at this restaurant . Their menu is quite varied and extensive so it's easy to bring guests without worrying about everybody's individual food preferences.
The Chinese chicken salad featured chicken that was intensely overcooked. The chicken that was on the plate of my guest was equally overcooked. They seem to be no point in complaining. This is probably the way all proteins are managed in this kitchen.
Two of us requested and were denied the round table on the patio only to watch a few minutes later the same hostess seat two people at that same table. The menu had three items for lunch. It was not clear that some of the choices had an up charge. When we asked the waiter about the additional charges he simply said it was on the menu and walked off. I think someone (the waiter) was in a bad mood. We normally have a wait person who checks on us during the meal. Not this time I practically had to stand up and wave my hand vigorously to get the waiter's attention. The Ancient Grain Bowl normally very good was a bit salty. We have been dining at this True Food Kitchen for years. This was my first disappointing experience.
Had lunch there and it was great. Many items are vegan but not all. Started with humus with some sort of spicy chili something to mix in with crackers. Delicious. Also had the edamame dumplings . Light and Also delicious. I had tuna poke bowl, it was great. Another person had a Margherita sourdough pizza. My Cocktail expresso martini was excellent. The only disappointment was air fried french fries. They were not crispy and were sort of soggy. The server actually told us that they were inconsistent and I should have listened. But overall the food was great.
We sat outside we Loved our server her professional service made our two hour luncheon perfect. The only negative they let two young girls bring in an unruly that barked a great deal. They should have asked her to leave
Kitchen got really behind...for no apparent reason 😱 Tim, our server was great, accommodating and very friendly!!

I've eaten here a handful of times and always hope it's going to improve. It's got a nice menu to accommodate multiple dietary options which is why I go back. But the quality does not match the price. It's mediocre food, at best. And when a "side salad" comes in a bowl that should be used for condiments, you know something is wrong. You have a great opportunity to create delicious food, please do it!
A bad experience with waitress on my wife's birthday. Incorrect food brought to table after waiting for 40 minutes and explaining how to prepare food. Replacement food took another 30 minutes. I had to speak to manager. Will not return.
We all ordered the All American burger with fries. Burgers were very tasty. Fries could have been crispier. Homemade ketchup was very good.
True Food Kitchen seems to value their take out clients more than their guests who have made reservations. We were seated in the back close to the kitchen and could see our server trying to balance prep of take out orders with waiting on guests who had been seated. Several errors were made with our order but it was difficult to get the attention of ANY server as none were scanning the room to see if anything needed to be addressed. They were all just delivering food to tables without checking on any tables at all. Will never go back to this location.
I'm not a professional foodie, but I do like food. We live in the Sacramento area, but had to come to San Jose to pick something up and we also needed a place to charge our car on the way back. Eating something while charging the car best use of your time. We decided on Walnut Creek, found a charging station at Broadway Plaza. Next look for a restaurant. True food kitchens popped up, I looked at the menu and immediately made reservations. I had to guess on our timing and we were early, but it was no problem. We receded on their covered patio and I'm not blowing smoke up your skirt, that was one of the best meals I've had in ages.. if they're looking to open another location, may I suggest Roseville? Walnut Creek is not too terribly far from us. I can see us going back.
