The service was prompt and attentive generally. I had some excellent egg rolls with a very tasty sauce, however there was a problem with the pumpkin curry. The large chunks of kabocha squash couldn’t be pierced with my fork and I don’t have very many teeth left so I thought I explained to the waitress that I wanted the “pumpkin” cooked very soft and she took the rather meager portion back to the kitchen. Not long after, she returned the bowl to the table.I was surprised to see that there seemed to be less pumpkin now, but thought that perhaps it was in the bottom.I was very hungry, so I started to chow down.To my dismay, and I could discover very little pumpkin. There was lots of slightly over cooked chicken breast, but the actual curry sauce was quite tasty, although not as heavy on the coconut milk as I expect in a Thai restaurant. Also, I was shocked at the lack of spiciness, since I had requested it to be “Thai HOT”.There was a small dish of dried pepper flakes which unfortunately turned out to be insufficient in heat.In my vast experience, most dried Thai chili flakes require a very small portion to light up my mouth and make my lips burn.I must have added a couple of tablespoons and I barely broke a sweat.Needless to say, I will not be returning.

First time at Vanda Thai last night. Ordered green curry with tofu, chicken satay and fresh rolls. We chose two orders of fresh rolls, and each was HUGE. Big mistake, although they were quite good. We were almost full after finishing one of the two orders between us. No mint, which is a bummer. A little mint goes a long way. FRESH ingredients! The sauce was the same peanut sauce that came with the satay. It was good and appropriate, although we prefer a rice vinegar-based sauce. Next time, we'll go with one order of fresh rolls and split it between us. The green curry was delicious. A little too much salt for our taste, but it was not heavy handed and probably perfect for most customers. We're already planning for chicken instead of tofu on our next visit. The chicken satay was pretty standard, and had a little salt as well. Salt on satay is not necessary, but this was, again, not overpowering. Just a hint. Everything was FRESH, and prices are quite reasonable. Service was great.

Delicious food always! Been here a few times and the place never disappoints! Today I came alone so I ordered their lunch special L3 - spicy crispy chicken with fried rice, salad, 2 pot stickers and an egg roll. Too much food for one person I have to say. Everything is delicious and best of all, parking is free which is rare in Walnut Creek! The spicy crispy chicken is tasty, well spiced a bit spicy but not too overpowering. The salad if fresh with a hint of sweetness and vinegar which I love! Pot stickers and egg roll are full of filling and so crunchy and flavorful!! The place is small but it's nicely decorated and always clean. Service is fast, efficient and very friendly. What are you doing? Go ahead and try this place now. Thank me later.

One of the worst Thai food I have eaten. All dishes were completely tasteless and had no flavor. I will avoid this place at any cost.

Yummy thai spot with fresh ingredients. My mom, who is particular about her eggrolls, really enjoyed their vegetarian eggrolls! The size was great, the veggies inside were crips, flavorful, fresh, and the outside skin was the right consistency - not double fried. Their green curry was also flavorful and had fresh veggies. I thought it was supposed to have eggplant in it, but ours had none. I could be wrong, though.. maybe that's a different curry. Overall, really enjoyed our takeout food from here and will be keeping it on the regular rotation!

Came here several times : loved it. The food was great. I even found a dish with my name, when I walked in I was immediately greeted by the server in a friendly voice. Price was very reasonable but food was great! I am sure to come here again

First time I ordered. The cucumber tastes.. like a chemical was on it. Thought it was a one off so its fine. I ordered again today and there is egg shells in my Lucas Fried Rice. I didn’t even order egg. I have a picture of the second shell I found. I do not recommend.

The restaurant is small and has a very limited seating. The interior is lacking any of the design touch. Does require some major upgrades. Really appreciate some authentic wall art pictures and canvases of Phuket. There’s only one person taking orders and running the entire place. Sometimes when the phone rings, customer may get unnoticed. Overall service is relatively good, once you get an attention.Food served timely, however, the quality might use some improvements. Tom Kha was a bit over-salted and came on the lower bottom of a bowl. Fresh roll is all unevenly cut and came in different sizes. Kia noodles were very tasty. Nice, plain, white dishes the food is served on.Overall a place to try and add to your list.

I started ordering food during the pandemic from here and it was delish. Then the cook or ownership changed and the food changed. Seems like there was another change and the food is just amazingly delicious. The Lucas fried rice was a great addition. The fried chicken is full of flavor. The bbq beef ribs are so good and chewy. The ginger rice, I can eat by itself, super delish and not ginger overwhelming. I'm not a tofu eater, but the crispy tofu was pretty good, loved the flavorful peanut sauce ! The restaurant is small, with a pretty Thai ambiance and they have a lot of take out. The service is pretty good too. Our food came out pretty quickly.
