Not to be missed. From the uninitiated to the wine connoisseur, all will find a welcome here.This wine shop is a true jewel in the Walnut Creek area. Igor Ivanov, the owner is extremely knowledgeable and the store contains hundreds of carefully chosen wines at all price points. We joined one of the wine clubs on offer, and month after month we are delighted by the interesting and special wines we receive. Our eyes have been opened to the world of wine in a simple and unassuming environment. Igor brings the intricacies of wine 'to (us), the people'!!

Note: It has been very interesting to meet the wine-maker Markus Niggli at two of the wine tastings in the store. Swiss born Markus produces wine in Lodi and gives occasional talks at wine tastings at Vinous Reverie. His own wines - sold under the name ‘Markus’, have been a revelation in themselves.

If you want a real wine story this is the place. Better selection, quality and price compared to big-box stores.

I visited Vinous Reverie on 3/19/22 as part of a fundraiser and was instantly impressed with the quality of this wine shop. The owner is very well versed in wines from regions all over the world and he’s great at opening your eyes to wines you would never have found while shopping at Safeway or BevMo. He has a huge selection and also gives the customer the option to join various wine clubs to enhance your collection. I love supporting local businesses and this is the perfect place that needs to be supported by the Walnut Creek community. Happy shopping.

I’m kicking myself for not taking photos! This is a wonderful gem in the heart of Walnut Creek. An amazing selection would be enough. But pair that with personalized recommendations and gracious customer service, now that’s what I call exceptional. I’ll take photos and edit this ASAP. Stop by, you’ll be glad you did.
