I’m not a fan of fried chicken because most places overcooked their chicken and make it so dry, but this place has the most moist chicken ever. I had tender, and the tender was nicely moist, the batter is quite thick on the tender. My bf had chicken thigh part and it was great. My bf ordered the hot one, it’s very spicy but he could eat spicy fine. He said that “hot” level is enjoyable for him. I chose the mild one and I enjoyed it. The server was nice and attentive. He gave us the “hot” level sample to try on to make sure we could handle it before order.

Tried the “hot” version and it was truly a meditative experience. It emptied my mind for some good 15 mins. Perfect zen mode, highly recommend hot and above.

Chicken was good but service was terrible. The games were also all broken and they wouldn’t let us order if we ate in so we just sat there waiting over ten minutes to order with no line. So weird. They either need more help or need to change the

It's been said this is the best Nashville chicken to be had in the bay, and I don't disagree in the least. I enjoy my spicy food, so I sampled the Hot at the suggestion of our fantastic waiter, and eventually ordered the Medium+. Don't want to know what the Hot Hot tastes like. Heat was fantastic, but so was the spice and flavor. The fries could have been an afterthought, but were equally on point, well coated with a tasty seasoning blend.

SF East Bay. One of our favorite chicken restaurants but for some reason, it wasn’t as good during this visit. Will still go but most probably not anytime soon.

No lie, this is the best chicken sandwich to be had in NorCal. The heat can be selected from mild to life threatening but the chicken remains the same: if it were any more tender or juicy it wouldn't be cooked. The breading is thin and well seasoned and perfectly crisp. The service and vibe are welcoming like southern hospitality with a heavy Oakland flavor. I will always come here when I'm in town.

One of the best chicken sandos I've had. Nia, the server, was awesome. She provided my fam with some samples of what Medium spice would taste like (mind you this was basically half a chicken tender, something you'd see a restaurant charge $1 for) and fries for the kids to make sure they'd like the seasoning on it. She made suggestions since it was our first time here and made sure that we knew what we were ordering. Very patient with us while we ordered. She's definitely a value-add to the restaurant! I ordered a Mild Sando Combo which was perfect because I don't typically eat 'spicy' food and this wasn't spicy at all. True to the description, sweet and spicy and the coleslaw in the sando cooled off whatever heat would come from the spices. The Bonuts in the B&G was quite literally if a Biscuit and a Donut had a baby. I used the leftover gravy to dip my fries in it . My wife and cousin ordered the Medium spice Sando and plan to get something hotter next time cuz they LOVE spicy food. The restaurant as a whole has a cool, retro vibe to it. They have different gaming stations -- A PLAYSTATION 1 WITH CRASH BANDICOOT... MY CHILDHOOD. And the ceiling is flooded with different country soccer flags. Will be back soon

Damn. I don't know what they put in that waffle but it was so good. Every single bite had me ascending. And the chicken tenders that came with it were tender fr I could barely pick them up without it falling apart.I already know the guap fries gonna hit every time. I personally go lighter on the cheese just cuz I can enjoy the chicken more that way. If you like old school games like super mario on the Nintendo 64, sit at the bar. I was over here locked in while the server was tryna take my order (sorry). The oakland location doesn't do indoor seating anymore so this was a real nice trip to make. I've had howlin rays, Dave's, and other chicken places around Cali but this is the best and has yet to be beat. If you in East bay be sure to stop by a hot boys location!

World Famous Hotboys exceeded my expectations, and the star of the show was undoubtedly the Sando chicken sandwich meal. Opting for the mild version, the chicken was an absolute delight - juicy and flavorful with the dry rub generously coating every bite. The freshness of the cold slaw added a perfect crunch, complementing the succulent chicken. What truly elevated the experience was our server, Nia. Her knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for the menu made the dining experience even more enjoyable. It's clear she takes pride in her work, enhancing the overall atmosphere of the place. Speaking of atmosphere, World Famous Hotboys hits the nostalgia sweet spot with its 90s retro vibe. The old-school game systems and games, coupled with 90s music, create a lively and vibrant ambiance that takes you back in time. The efficiency in seating and serving was another standout, making it a fantastic dining experience from start to finish.

I've got to come here again! Here's my breakdown:Ambiance: Tons of blue and red lights, banners, and flags. Very themed, and very vibrant. Diner vibes, with booths and a counter. Service: super fast, seated immediately, payment is taken right at the table after you order. Pretty hands-off, which was nice. Food: Incredible. I got the Sando Meal; the chicken (a juicy thigh filet) was crispy and well fried, the sauce was saucin', and the side of mac n' cheeze was uniquely tasty (it had a roasted peppery taste, and was thick and rich and creamy). I would 100% reorder this combination.
