Food is outstanding - varied and creative. Drinks good or great depending on bartender. Staff is very friendly, but things can get a little slow when busy. My biggest complaint is the acoustics. Prices are not bad at all for Walnut Creek.

We visited Xicote for my wife's birthday. We has a very nice experience and the staff was very kind and attentive. My wife, who rarely orders a cocktail tired the Tropical Tequila Sour and REALLY enjoyed it. I had their signature Margarita and also enjoyed my cocktail. For dinner she ordered the Seafood Taco Trio Plate (Shrimp, Lobster & Mahi Mahi tacos). Beautiful presentation & very tasty. I had the Carnitas Burrito which was also quite good. The portions were generous....

I booked this restaurant for a family gathering of 14 people. I was taking a chance because I am a chef and I had never eaten there. It did not disappoint. Everyone loved their food. The service was outstanding. We ordered Guava and Passion Fruit pitchers of margaritas also both delicious. The prices were fair. We highly recommend Xicote Cocina Mexicana. We will be back!
