Homey, open, low key dining room, but food was definitely delicious. I got a California Hand Roll with real crab. My partner got a Bay Scallop roll and both were super fresh, perfect amount of rice to go with the shellfish.Really enjoyed the miso soup that is immediately placed in front of you as you sit down. Also got hot green tea that was made just right. Not too jasmine and not too earthy. Overall one of our favorites so far, service is outstanding, and prices are reasonable.

Sushi was fresh and tasty, though a bit pricey for the limited offerings available. Portions are rather larger than most sushi bars, but variety is less than some exotic fish presented at higher class restaurants. Service was good and pleasant.

Sad I waited so long to try this place when they replaced the last sushi restaurant that didn't make it... Delicious fresh sushi! Love the variety/uniqueness of the sushi

Sushi rolls were fresh and the fish just melted in your mouth. The lunch bento box chicken was so freaking tender.

Domo Arigato. I’m so surprised every time I discover a great restaurant in shopping plazas. It happens very rarely. This was an exception I’m glad we didn’t overlook! The entire experience was great! I had Sumo roll and Dragon Fire roll (recommended by our waitress). A day later I can still feel the taste of those wonderful dishes! The staff was ever so pleasant, service fast and impeccable, place clean, quiet, spacious with a calming atmosphere. We are definitely going back! ??

Excellent sushi, on the list of best in the Contra Costa area that I've personally tried so far.

Normally this place would be five stars for me. My mom has been going here for years. And my dad before he passed went here too. However I was super disappointed today by them?. My mom has dementia and called there to order lunch from 2 hours away. I called them and asked if I could cancel or get a discount in the $70 order (including tip) that she placed. I told them she has dementia. They said no. That they already made the food. I understand that we all are tight these days, but that was rough. Not even a cost discount...? She is 75 and on a fixed income. She will probably continue to go there cause she will forget all about this but that really sucked so I probably won't ever go there again. Not their problem....I know, but just a little kindness would have been great...

Very disappointing all around. I heard good things so I wanted to give them a try. The whole place needs to be retrained.

A good place. Comfortable, straight forward. Traditional Japanese restaurant without any frills. Place to take a friend, family or date. Since the closure of Miraku in Walnut Creek, I've been looking for a replacement. This place is it.

The food here is excellent! Absolutely the best Japanese cuisine in Contra Costa County!!! It is pricey though, and portions could be bigger, but the QUALITY of their food is amazing, and surpasses all Japanese restaurants we have visited so far in the area! ?????

Absolutely hands down some of the best sushi I’ve had in a while!!!! Fresh, delicious, colorful and reasonable for the prices. The restaurant is clean and warm with all the wood inside (even the bathrooms are nice). They gave us free toasted green tea (ridiculously good) and miso to start with which already made them stand out to me. And they give you a stamp card for loyalty points - worth $10!I mean all those perks are nice, and they feel like the cherry on top of what is a great sushi place. Considering how some of the options in the Walnut Creek area are lacking.. this is so nice. I really can’t recommend this place enough - I’ve not enthusiastically written a review like this in a while. So happy we found this place.

Ok sushi with fair prices, I cannot say it is the best or freshest I’ve had but it gets the job done.
